Does she still have that much power? Iirc, the school was supercharging her. Now thst she's no longer student body president, is she still receiving the power boost?
We saw clear evidence (exhibit A, exhibit B) that Faith remained ridiculously OP even after Cerise said she severed Faith's connection to the school. So I'd say th assumption that the school was boosting her was just that, Tiff's speculation.

All this talk of power levels, I felt I’d misclicked into a DBZ forum for a minute...

:)
That would interesting if power levels were used to determine compatibility. Make love not war. ;)

No one's talkihg about power levels. You were the one who said:

Firstly, might not have been real, legends frequently are fiction...

Secondly, if they did exist, were probably half-deity in some way, like Hercules or other mythical beings.
Remember? Which is why I used Faith as a counter example.

Faith is bonkers powerful, Cerise had the control of the Esper Collective and she went alone against them while arguing with Amelia about Tiffany.

@rogermart: ...and she shrugged off an explosion from two überpowered witches while she was at it. But she's still human, not a demigoddess. The fact that such a human exists is sufficient evidence that there might be some truth to those legends Pandora told Teddy about.

@Cortez: Sure, but the same applies to angels and demon boys, since Pandora said they've died too. Yet, everyone here acts as if it's a sure thing. So I don't see how their chances are any better than his.
I don't recall anything about angels/demons dying while deflowering a virgin succubus - just that virgin succubus are sent to the mortal realm to get some practice corpses in before bedding a demon (or angel) in order to avoid killing them. The worst I recall reading is that - on the rare occasion - a demon male may get his junk torn off during sex. It no doubt hurts like a b*tch, which explain why they run from the sight of a succubus; but that does not immediately mean he dies as a result if it happens.

True, but legends are also often exaggerations. Meaning, all those stories about human men dying horrifying deaths at the hands of deflowered succubi could be entirely made up as well.
One of the succubis who was giving Abby the talk (Pandora - a sexually experienced succubus) confirmed that it happens and it's best to find a more resilient lover (angel or demon) if you want to avoid killing them. Torrid (another sexually experienced succubus) said she was a messy eater when she attempted to have sex with Teddy (a mortal at the time). And given how she looked when she attacked him - if Chloe hadn't intervened, Teddy would have been torn to shreds.

So, the horrifying/brutual deaths of mortal men isn't a thing of legends; it's a hard reality in their universe.

My memory of DC's is admittedly sketchy, since I've only read parts of it. So I may have gotten the parts about defloration mixed with what happens to the guys they knock up.

What's true in one instance doesn't necessarily apply to all. So far, we only have Pandora's experience to go on, since Torrid hasn't had her v-card punched yet. And, there's still Adora to consider. Her first time might not have been the same as Pandora's.

Just as many women say their first times hurt like hell, while others say they barely felt a thing. Others have even torn their own hymens through daily exercise, without even realizing it.

Near as I recall, there's nothing in the comic that says that Torrid is still a virgin. The fact that she refers to herself as a messy eater means she's been deflowered and hasn't gotten her death lust under control yet.

So Torrid definitely has lost her virginity (honest question since I can't recall)? If so, that'd be two accounts, along with what they've been taught about the subject.

Either way, I still think it's possible that there may have been human males who were able to do the deed and live to tell about it. Those legends had to come from somewhere.

Nobody forgot.

I’ve said this for a while: There are probably like a thousand ways Chloe could have resolved her issue. That’s true. But you know, none of those ways really tell the right story.

This is a love story. Chloe and Teddy, their conflict to resolve. Dragging Ash in for a quick bone might make sense technically, but not thematically.
Leaving all other considerations aside and going with that angle... is there any particular reason why Chloe has to be a virgin to be part of a love story?

For those lamenting the 'loss' of Teddi... I wouldn't give her up yet. We don't know what comes next.

This situation is an efficient little setup. Charity might otherwise protect Teddy from Chloe's rampage, but she has to use her power to stop him annihilating the surrounding area. Alchemy can't interfere with this mess. Abby is going to dither between Chloe's and Teddy's needs.
Once again, it's all down to Teddy and Chloe.
...
I guess. She could yet burst from the bushes to drag Chloe off to hell, or emerge as a defensive transformation I suppose. It's still sad tho. :(

Pandora's out of the picture also, she's actively intervened to keep Chloe from claiming her prey in the past, but she can't do that from wherever she is now.

I didn't forget Ash, my opinion on that is that he can survive feeding better than Chris Montana (as shown in that strip), and he could bang Pandora more than 7 times (Chris's record with her), but deflowering is beyond that, hell, Ash almost gets killed by Brooke's snake form, and the "almost" part is because Melissa stopped her, I don't think he would survive a Succubus deflowering...
Granted. Still, Teddi and Pandora wouldn't have been wasting their time if they'd checked him out to see if he could manage it, a narrow chance is still a narrow chance. They just didn't know he existed to check.

The real answer: The boys over at Charybdis. In a school full of cryptids, they'd have had much better odds of finding a suitable male. And those boys? They are the same ones who, when Chloe was girling the kissing booth, looked around at a sea of life drained bodies and then stepped over their fallen classmates to buy their kisses. They have no fear.

Of course, Teddi and Pandora don't know about them either. Chloe did tho. She's the villainess of this story, make no mistake.

Well, to be fair to Chloe, she only met Ash once while she was in her doompanties-high, then her mother sent her to Tartarus Academy in hell, then years passed and she became a 3rd class succubus (while on Earth only months passed), then Teddy makes the pact and this comic begins... She probably forgot about Ash.

About the guys at Charybdis, she probably remembers them, or not, still, it's like she doesn't want to be in touch with the people at Charybdis, she doesn't even make contact with Nina and Brooke and they were her best friends there...

How would she forget someone she tried to kill, especially after she said she was gonna keep tabs on him?

...and that's what makes the current story arc seem unnecessary. Choe had options, people she could have turned to for advice (if not a solution). Yet, for the sake of the plot, it's like she's been hit with PIS.

People usually draw on past experience, especially in times of crisis. If a crime went down in Gotham, you'd expect Gordon to flash the Bat signal. Why: because it's what he's done in the past, because Batman gets results. Which is the the same reason kids usually turn to their parents. At Charybdis, that was Twiggit's job, which is why Nina and her friends often asked for her help.

So what's Choe's deal? That's what I'm waiting for the comic to explain.

Given the kind of indoctrination Chloe received at Tartarus, I imagine forgetting someone she tried to kill would have become easier. Not to mention, she was hopped up on the doompanties when she did it. It wouldn't surprise me if her memories of her time under its influence were a bit... shaky.

It was explained. According to Pandora, Chloe is stupidly saving herself for Teddy. Not even kidding. Which explains why Chloe hasn't sought advice from her mother/friends/Twigget/etc - she's determined to lose her virginity to Teddy, and no one else; despite the fact she's slowly killing herself in the process.

If it was part of the contract that stated she couldn't lose her virginity to anyone but Teddy; that would make some sense - but it was never specified. So, as a result, Chloe comes off looking especially stupid for not taking care of her immediate health needs.
