Teddy is a teenager. It’s not his job to raise his little sister. We rightfully don’t expect teens to be able to take care of themselves longterm, let alone young family members. Lighten up.

It’s not hypocritical at all for him to be appalled that his 12 year old sister might engage in behavior she’s not emotionally equipped for just because he’s doing it for what he has convinced himself is a noble purpose. He could use a little more insight, sure. But isn’t that what this strip is about?

Given Chloe’s concealment, presence, and attitude, assuming she’s responsible is not a stretch, even if it’s wrong. This is an awful moment for him. Cut him a little slack while he processes it.
This may be one of the few posts that I actually agree with entirely.

I don't know why everyone has to be so judgmental. They're all teenagers and intentionally more stupid for the sake of conflict.

Teddy is a teenager who's trying to do the best he can in a really crazy situation. I doubt anyone else would do any better.

And as for Chloe she's not entirely to blame in this, but she's not blameless either. She should've trained Abby in a safer place than a public park where they could be attacked by monster hunters. Then she teleports to Tartarus which wasn't a very wise idea, but the biggest blunder of all was thinking the teacher she described as a million times worse than any of Abby's worst would make things right. If she really wanted to keep Abby safe maybe she could've payed Nina or Brooke a visit.

And If there's a reason why Teddy thinks she did something wrong it's because he's been with Pandora and Alchemy all day so who else could there be?

I fail to see how he could think underaged stripping (which is illegal, btw) and sleeping with half his school, while trusting a pair of succubi to look after his kid sis is the best solution he could come up with.

Leaving Abby with Brooke and Nina would potentially be disastrous for them, since CH has already had one Artemis student show up at their school and someone among the faculty is already investigating them.

Also, consider the fact that Tandy and Gabrielle are already keeping tabs on Abby and Chloe, so getting Brooke and Nina involved could potentially add them to their watch list as well.

Teddy immediately thought of all the things he's been doing (not Chloe), yet he accuses her in the last panel. That's a leap in logic.

Teddi thoughts seem to translate to "Just like you aka a massive slut that has to strip for money not something I want for my little sister." The reason why he's pissed at Chloe, is that there is no way in his mind that Abby could have ended up like that unless another demon was involved and since he was with Pandora that only leaves Chloe.

Okay then. How would you have handled things if you were in Teddi's high heels?

Exactly this. And he's not wrong, another demon was involved. He just didnt consider Ilsa since I doubt in his mind Abbey would ever wind up in hell

I wouldn't have left Abby with Chloe, for starters. And I wouldn't have turned to a profession that I had to hide from my family. At Teddy's age, I worked odd jobs 'til I was able to land a steady part-time job that paid more.

Do you recall that Teddi ran away from home on account of Pandora? And that one of Teddi’s girlfriends introduced him to the profession because it was lucrative? Do you seriously think a runaway could make ends meet with honest work? Stripping was actually one of the smarter things Teddi has done.

And he should have taken Abby with him, instead of leaving her behind with a literal Hellspawn.

Yes, some are even self-made millionaires. But there are just as many who get by on a regular salary, while still raising their siblings.

In what way? Look at what it's done for his reputation, or the fact that he has to hide what he's been doing from his sister.

I sincerely hope Chloe puts that ungrateful prick in his place instead of meekly accepting blame for something that was out of her control.
I'd love to see her return to Doompanties!Chloe levels, if only for a panel or two.

It's not his job. It's his parents job.

It's not that it shouldn't be, it's that it's not, even if he is attempting to the best of his ability.

Setting up some unsuspecting schmuck to be eviscerated in his place (4th panel) is noble? :-\
In Teddy's defense, he had convinced himself that said schmuck would only be set up if they were someone who wouldn't die. If this were not the case (i.e. he was prepared to sacrifice someone else) he wouldn't have given up on the plan once Pandora told him even the manliest guy he had located was not enough. Teddy was likewise convinced there was no way for he himself to do it without dying.

Chloe was not only the cause of the parents breakup, but she got in a contract with Teddy, who didn't even know he was making a contract. However, there's no reason the mom couldn't stay around the kids and there's no reason the dad couldn't get a new job that kept him closer to the kids (or gotten them tutors and had them live on the road with him).

At least with Abby, she knew she was signing a contract. Teddy didn't even realize her was signing a contract.

Teddy's a child, not much older than his sister (3-4 year difference).

If Teddy wanted to do anything, there's only one thing he can do and that's just have sex with Chloe. Chloe on the other hand is a hell demon with no real care, even if she tries to pretend otherwise, who's centuries (decades maybe) old. If she did care, she'd have left long ago.
As a critic of the comic myself, I still feel like defending it as you seem to have misinterpreted or misremembered a number of things.

1. Chloe had no input or control over the contract, she didn't even know about it until after it was signed. Its not her contract, she was just the succubus selected to fulfill the contract.
2. Chloe can't just "leave," that's not how these contracts work. She is bound to Teddy until the contract is fulfilled or nullified.
3. Chloe is about Teddy's age, this was stated early in the comic. Not to mention we met her in EC before she had even gone through puberty. She's not decades old (unless you're saying she has spent decades in the Tartarus academy), let alone centuries, even factoring in how time can work differently in Tartarus.
4. For all her many faults Chloe does care about others, there is no way she could have pretended this long a time.
Teddy's the victim. He can't even control what he's doing, because he has the succubus urges he can't control and being a teen isn't likely helping him any.
Teddy has control of himself, at most his succubus side is just making the things he decides to do with men very enjoyable. His succubus body is influencing him, but not controlling him.
But her time in hell aged her past the EC characters. She may be physically Teddy's age, but she's been around a lot longer now, because Hell time moves faster than Earth time.

There is very likely a way for Chloe to get out of the contract, even if it's just removing herself from the equation "I'll die, so many others don't have to."

If Chloe truly cared, she'd at least have come clean on all the lives she's ruined. Teddy's parents. Jaqui.

She did confess about ruining the DeCarlo parents' marriage to their kids.

As for Jacqui, iirc she advanced the time table on something that was going to happen anyway. Still bad, but she didn't brainwash Jacqui into giving up her studies for boys; hormones and a somewhat frenzied libido did that.

@Error of Logic: Actually... Chloe thought she was only jumpstarting Jacqui's interest in boys, but soon realize she was the one who caused Jacqui to become that way.

Which would still be a BS reason for Teddy to be pissed at Chloe considering - out of the three of them (Chloe, Teddy and Pandora) - Chloe is the best influence out of them.
