I can't help but notice that the descriptions have been changed on the cast page... specifically, Ace's now uses no pronouns and doesn't mention the hairy arms.

I don't think anyone is intending for the makeovers to be torture except perhaps Layla. Although Layla may be one of the main viewpoint characters, that definitely doesn't preclude her being (in this case fairly mildly) evil, especially in a horror-themed comic.
I don't think anyone but grrAce has a clue about Brooke being even reluctant to do the makeover thing. This is one of those situations where the impending victims have only themselves to blame if they don't stand up for themselves, vampire strength notwithstanding.
That being said, stripping Brooke in front of the 'until recently a boy' shows that Chloe and Nina aren't really thinking things through. Not that that is a surprise, exactly...

I've got to wonder exactly how extensive the mental effects of the transformation are. Did it affect Ace's orientation or libido at all? If he's still into girls - and still has the hair-trigger sex drive of a teenage boy - this could be harder on him than any of the others may realise.

I am highly approving of this makeover storyline. I love how enthusiastic Chloe is, and how Brooke is going to be a lot more embarassed than anyone now thinks she should be.

Come on, people, this is all harmless fun. In reality, teenagers can be much crueler and more heartless, and let's not even tart thinking about what kind of scum grown-ups can be.

I find Nina's super strength less remarkable than her ability to rapidly yank off Brooke's clothing without her cooperating or destroying the clothing in the process. I've heard blue jeans called "anti-rape devices" because they are extremely difficult to actually take off an unwilling person.

Perhaps them there chocolate eating vampires tend to have more super dexterity than super strength. Maybe it comes from all that sugar in their diet. Hmmm... That could also explain why Nina is s hyper!

There exist legal ramifications for the authors since they are Canadian and in Canada, child pornography INCLUDES illustrated representations. Some parts of Eerie Cuties have been on somewhat shaky ground if an asshole really wanted to push the issue and it would be a shitty thing, given the legal murkiness such matters, if Giz and Dave got in trouble because their forum members were treating their comic as spank material.

I may be prudish, but I see some things in today's strip that are serious problems if our two marvelous authors don't want Eerie Cuties to become PG-13.

For one, we have a teenage girl FORCING another teenage girl to remove her clothes for the entertainment of a roomful of other people!!! I'm sorry, but ANYBODY forcing ANYBODY to REMOVE THEIR CLOTHES AGAINST THEIR WILL constitutes sexual assault in the United States, and I suspect the same is true in Canada. Felony, folks.

If they force Brooke and Ace to share a shower while naked, that would also be sexual assault, to my knowledge.

Everybody there knows that Ace is male mentally, so this becomes sexual assault against the opposite gender, which is borderline rape.

Finally, we see enough of Brooke's naked crotch to know that she doesn't have pubic hair. That's pretty darn PG-13 in my opinion.

Eerie Cuties is definitely becoming in league with Menage a 3. If that's what the authors want Eerie Cuties to become, so be it. And if it's what the reading audience wants, then more power to them. It just saddens me, though.

A few days ago, I saw "Easy A" in the cinema. PG-13. It had quite a bit of not too harsh language, girls running around in skimpy and highly sexual clothing (but no nudity), and the whole topic of the movie was SEX.

PG-13.

This is not the Disney Channel (the Disney Channel is worse, I know...).
