In what Universe was that a good idea?

Had Melissa forgotten she was at a school for monsters?

I guess this is the last page we'll see for a good long while, perhaps ever. :( To be continued signs notwithstanding of course.

Nice splash to go out with tho. :)

Faith and Sandy didnt get tags.

Maybe they're just Carybdid students who bear a resemblence?

I did hope we'd see more of them before the end

If this was a dream sequence that Brooke was having; it would make some kind of screwy sense.

But, as it's ending on a waking world note; I've got to say, that's some incredibly sloppy writing - even for a five page story.

Are they trying to make us hate this strip? Are these bonus strips purposely poorly-written to make us stop asking for more? If that were true, it would at least make all of this nonsense make some sense at least.

I think that they’re suffering from a common problem, especially among fantasy writers; they started with quite a cool idea, but eventually discovered that they couldn’t think of much to do with it in terms of plot. But they carried on regardless.

  • 'Siren Brawl' finally introduced us to Tracy Milligan and revealed why Tiffany doesn't like her.
  • 'Kids Slay the Dardest Things' includedd Tiff's first successful kill as a monster hunter, so she's no longer just a wannabe slayer. She's taken her first real step towards getting there.
  • and 'Tia and Me' finally confirmed my suspicions about Tia, gave us a bit of background on her, and revealed she's sisters with Artemis and Hecate.
So I enjoyed those three because we learned more about the characters. It's just too bad they aren't available in print form, 'cuz I'd be willing to buy them - so long as they weren't included with the one about Ace's unfortunate situation, this one, and certainly not with DC's next Vol.

All in all, 3 out of 5 isn't bad in my book.

And like that, my loathing for the EC/MC/DC Universe continues to grow.

This was poorly done.

Those are good things yes, the trouble is these stories ALSO trampled on the characterizations and developments of the rest of the series with little or no justification, were full of plotholes, and tended to produce more questions than they did answers. This made them a lot harder for me to enjoy.
