The interaction between Melissa and Brooke reminds me of that between Penny and Aggie in the early days. Brooke especially here is practically channeling Aggie in her more strident activist phase.

Damn, Melissa has a great bikini body. If nothing else that's something.

One of the things I hate is how the comics were right on the verge of showing character development for Mel.Then some editor must have stepped in and shut it down in favor of superficial drama. And we're left with Mel split into two hyper-shallow alter egos.

@FuzztFace: Agreed. It was one of the things that irked me during the dating incident and the decision to eventually split her in two. I had hoped Mel would reform as a result of being thrust into the role of a heroine. Instead, she backslid into 'old Mel', then we wound up with two of her.

I'd attribute that more to Fernando's artstyle, 'cuz his rendition of Tiff was even better.

On that note: I'm a bit apprehensive about Ace being brought into this, but it's good to see Nina and Layla again.

It’s not the same Melissa. She split into 2 Melissas and Lissa is Melissa at her worst.

Layla could care less about Brooke and her cause, but mutual loathing of Melissa will probably keep her there.

Me too, but I don't know if Lissa has any of old Melissa's bicuriosity so I don't see history repeating itself.

I like that Seth is ogling her in panel 3.

That's what I said: Mel split into two hyper-shallow alter egos. All done, presumably, to prevent actual character development from happening.
