I think that Blair's memories are mixed up because his head was reattached only recently.
BTW, tomorrow is Friday the thirteenth, so that would be the perfect day for the conclusion of this episode.

Anyway, if the first panel of the last strip doesn't feature a pair of legs dangling from a book, I will be sorely disappointed.
