Noticed in April 2011 someone made the joke that Magic Chicks is like Witch Girls: the webcomic:
https://1d4chan.org/index.php?diff=75576
I haven't had a chance to read it (should I read Eerie Cuties first?) but it got me wondering what kind of power level the chicks in this comic have and how they would stack up against the NPCs in Witch Girls.
Does anyone familiar.with both have any "X can beat Y" claims?
I know GURPS did an adaptation of one webcomic and there is an unofficial GURPS sluggy freelance... For those who know multiple RPG systems what do you think would be ideal for starting out the characters in this comic?

One could probably do game stats for the MC characters, but really, they're a bit whimsical and plot-requirement-driven. In GURPS terms, I'd probably say 200-ish points for most of the leads, use one of the freestyle magic systems, and then play them very badly. Maybe slightly fewer points but a lot of dangerously handy magic items left lying all over the place... You also get things like characters with uncontrolled always-on mind control powers they don't even realise they have.
Also, personal point levels are all over the place, with characters ranging from humans with some minor weird physical features to cosmic entities in training.

Re: Magick Chicks v Witch Girls
...the page (seeing the current version)... seems to suggest they're related? They're not...
I came across the old version of Witch Girls... I don't even remember their names... back in the day... even then, the whole idea was they'd turn people, often children, into animals or candy, or just fry them, and then forget them, or finish them. Typically there would be little tears in their eyes. Before that, a company with the same they swear up and down isn't them did "the Shrinking Sorceress e-Zine," where women with the same name and design as the first-incarnation adult characters turn people into cigarette holders, etc. It's hard not to think someone's getting off on the vile acts in this thing starring children and marketed to children.
Meanwhile, the only people transformed in Magick Chicks are either gender-swapped for a few weeks or shrunk for a few hours. Jokes are made about experienced witches' callousness, but it seems a much more grounded sort of humor.

There's an anime-based game called OVA which has rather freeform powers system. And one supplement thry put out converted the major characters from VC/PMS. I'm sure that could be dome for MC
Though, I think Melissa works better as an Exalted

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

I did a poll on that a while back.
Here's the VC/PMS characters in the OVA system, including some that I adapted. Sorcery and witchcraft are given in the OVA system as explicit powers.
