Yup. They've demonstrated now that the mouth-to-mouth portion of CPR is a waste of time, unless the patient is a child. The fact that it worked on Autumn here is evidence enough: Fictional world, fictional rules. Don't read into it too much.
Also remember, these two know each other. They have history. They didn't just apparate to Teddi's hotel room; by necessity they had to have spoken some more, if for no other reason than Alchemy has no idea where Teddi's place is, but let's be serious here. There was a whole courtship dance prior to the last panel that we skipped over for the sake of the punchline. Teddi probably *is* worried about Alchemy. Alchemy probably realizes full well that Teddi didn't know the rules, and was just being a good person trying to save a life. Those things likely got taken into account before the main event, otherwise said main event probably wouldn't have taken place.
Also, not for nothing but we also skipped over Teddi's awkward first-time-with-a-guy experiences, for the sake of the same punchline.
What led up to it? Remember, prior to Alchemy explaining she was at the club that night for work, he and Teddi were already mackin' on each other. If Autumn hadn't been a factor and they'd just run into each other, they'd have probably ended up in the same place.

So Teddi should've let Autumn die? If she did that you'd condemn her for depraved indifference.Fluffy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2017 10:11 amI don't know which annoys me more; the fact that Teddy shows no regard for the fact that he could very well be responsible for 'killing' Al by interfering with his work or the fact that his immediate solution to the problem is to fuck Al on a bed of money.
Al just told him that he could 'die' because Teddy decided he could cheat death and save a co-worker; could Teddy try to show some actual concern about someone he supposedly cares about instead of treating it like it's a mild, forgivable screw up on his part?
This is a character we're supposed to root for, really?

This storyline is not exactly covered in glory.

I wonder if the writers have realised that they've "solved" the problem of Teddy needing a girlfriend who genuinely cares for him to save his soul. As soon as he returns to his original male state Alchemy can switch to her female identity and that should fulfil the conditions for breaking the contract between Chloe and Teddy.
Unless, for some reason, "female" Alchemy isn't willing to sleep with Teddy whereas "male" Alchemy is.

Well, we know that Teddi experienced le petite mort.lordoffiling wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2017 1:25 pmAlso, not for nothing but we also skipped over Teddi's awkward first-time-with-a-guy experiences, for the sake of the same punchline.

This final panel is the most uncomfortable one in the whole comic. Seriously, at this point the series have lost its way. It's a (gr)Ace 2.0

Yeah, no - as Al would have to explain to their higher ups why they didn't stop the mortal from resurrecting the dead girl. It's one thing for Al to prevent someone they're supposed to reap from dying; it's entirely another when he's not stopping someone from preventing the death of someone he's supposed to reap.
That's where you'd be wrong. I'd have preferred for Teddy to do the difficult thing and let Al do their job; or, at the very least, fail in his attempts at saving Autumn's life - and end up in the same conclusion with Al. It would have made the moment more touching/cute than this cringy 'I'll make up for possibly screwing up your very existence by screwing you on a bed of money'

He didn't know the potential consequences of saving someone he probably considers a work friend. It'll be more telling when he has the chance to do it again, will he again choose to save the person or not.

Alchemy has, really, no right to be angry with Teddy. They've broken the rules on death 3 different times since they met. One of those times being Alchemy showing up to SPECIFICALLY warn Teddy about his imminent death, thus preventing it. He should not be even a tiny bit surprised that Teddy would try to save the life of someone who was about to die.

Also, it makes perfect sense for Teddy to sleep with Al. They already had a thing for each other, now Teddy is more willing to accept that Al can and will switch genders.

Warning someone of impending doom and preventing it from happening are two different things. In the case you're referring to, Al never said he was scheduled to die - just that there was a high probability that it would happen. And Al didn't save Teddy - Pandora did (by injecting him with Chloe's blood; forcing a gender swap).
Al only spared Teddy once; and that was because Chloe made a deal in exchange for sparing his life. And the only reason Al got away with it that time was because Abby was accidentally reaped, making headquarters think that there was a glitch in Al's scythe (meaning Teddy's own scheduled death could be explained away as a glitch, as well).
As for Teddy not knowing there would be consequences for Al breaking the rules of reaping - yes, he did - as Al told him twice the first time they interacted. The only thing Al failed to mention was that their own existence would be terminated as a result.

http://www.dangerouslychloe.com/strips- ... contraband (they could lose their job).
http://www.dangerouslychloe.com/strips- ... racker_app (Al explaining there was a chance Teddy was going to die - not that he was scheduled to die).

Re: Dangerously Chloe 10-08-17 Supposed to be Dead
I'm not saying that Teddy did not have any way of knowing that there could be consequences for saving someone in that context; but rather there was no fair way for Tedd to know the difference between Alchemy showing up to tell him about his own imminent death and avoiding it with that information, and Alchemy showing up to tell him about his co-worker's imminent death and trying to prevent it with that information.
Plus, almost every time Alchemy interacts with Teddy and her friends they end up trying to cheat death in some way. There is no reason to expect this time to be different.

A fresh start! Yes, that's exactly what they need in their relationship.
