If that were the case then Prudence would've intervened much earlier. This should've occurred to Gabrielle unless she's not thinking clearly. She's been trained to fight demons, but the forces of heaven are another matter. Even if she could match their strength and skills she'd be fighting an ally in the fight against the forces of darkness and given her line of work getting locked out of heaven if she dies would not be good. She'd be looking at suffering the same fate of Constantine.

What Zippy meant was that it appears to what Gabby is assuming and that's why she looked scared. Not that Pru was literally there for that.
