I am curious about Gabby's plan. She is naked, carrying a sheet to cover herself, and Naomi is in hot pursuit with a sword. Even if she can get away, doesn't she have to come back to the house at some point...?

It seems clear that this was planned, but I am having trouble seeing the sense.

They need to set Gabrielle and Pandora against each other

Pandora isn't so bad. Ok, she's a royal pain, but she's more mischievous than malicious. Now, Lucretia... that succubus has issues.

Gabby is a trained ninja from a school for magic users an superheroes that encourages its pupils to fight and hurt each other as training... I think she feels able to manage a civilian like Naomi.

Of course, she could be wrong. I hope she is wrong. Naomi has fought damned souls, demons and Eldritch Abominations, she must have developed some decent fighting skills...

That's probably standard training at Artemis Academy or maybe Gabrielle's own training regimen. It reminds me of Inspector Clouseau requesting Kato to attack him by surprise at any and all times to hone his reflexes except in Gabrielle's case she irritates Naomi to the point that she lashes out violently.

Who's to say that Gabrielle is not being mischievous. Naomi threatened to sic jocks on Teddy if he didn't agree to go out on a date with her. The fact that she's willing to extort to get what she wants doesn't make her innocent and quite possibly she tried to throw her weight around or prank her foster sister when she arrived and Gabrielle did not take kindly to it. Both Pandora and Gabrielle like putting their targets in embarrassing, but not dangerous predicaments so I'd say they are about even in that respect, but I give the power edge to Pandora since she is a succubus and Gabrielle is just a slayer in training.

I dunno. Self-taught skills are not usually as good as proper training.

Gabrielle has training. Naomi has actual combat experience.

She was one of the girls Faith chose to be on her student council so I seriously doubt she's a slouch when it comes to fighting. That being said Gabriel could be taken down by over confidence since Naomi most certainly has gotten some real life experience, but keep in mind she had a partner and a lot of heavenly weapons at her disposal.

No, Gabby went out the window,instead of following Naomi turned around and ran out of the door and is going to try to pursue her, she just going to exit the house in the normal manner. You can see the stars around Teddi's head on the far side of the bed in the 4th panel.

Oh, yeah. I was looking at that panel wrong. Although I still think that when somebody draws a winged diamond sword out of thin air it's a reasonable assumption ;)

So does Gabrielle. The curriculum at AA includes full-contact combat exams, where they're allowed to use weapons, magic, summons, and psychic powers. Remember? And we were told that Gabby's admired at AA (TCampbell mentioned it twice, here), which is a meritocracy.

But we've yet to see any indication that Naomi can actually fight. She has a sword, but even Nina can pick one of those up and we know she and Layla aren't fighters.
