With respect, Eris, what did you expect was going to happen when they left Ace in a girl's body, if not put him in situations where he's forced to be embarrassed by it? Ace is the series buttmonkey, of course he was going to be strong armed into the house and of course Blair was going to be in the shower. That's why I was curious why everyone was so gleeful that this had befallen him, given this would be pretty awful a thing if it was an actual transgender boy rather than a boy magically stuffed into a girls body.

With the amount of leering at the girls in this strip (most of them 16 or under), you didn't think Ace would be any different, did you? It's what the audience wants, just read the thread. A sweet story about him coming to terms with his condition isn't funny, but playing up that he's going fourteen year old girl funbits and is going to be put through a Series of Embarrassing Situations because of it and speculating on his new cup size is what the people want. I'll bet you next that Mamma Delacroix is going to insist that he can't get back in those wet clothes and makes him wear something of Nina's of Layla's.

It's entirely possible that Ace wants to stay as he is, and is hiding the change because he knows that adults would make sure he got changed back quickly. Aside from the initial "I've been changed!" freak-out, Ace has seemed to enjoy, or at least not have any problems with the change. For a boy, admitting to wanting to be a girl is probably the most embarrassing thing imaginable, which is more than enough of a reason to hide it.

Also, I'd say there already have been arcs without him being abused. If not, it's usually only one or two quick jokes.

There are butt-monkeys and there are butt-monkeys. In many ways Gary is also a butt-monkey but he also has some good qualities. He has friends; at least one is actively trying to find him a girl friend. Dillon loves him. He is a good enough cartoonist that the daughter of a well-known Manga Artist wants to collaborate with him. He knows about computers. With the possible exception with one girl who seems obsessed with him and some indication that he is good at sports he currently has none of these. I would be happy if he/ she became more fleshed out, more like Gary. If nothing else I hope he/she becomes friends with the Nina. Brooke, Chloe gang and starts to hang out with them.

I think Dave and Gisele pretty much said Brooke was a lesbian in the fallout from the "makeout fight" strip. Besides that, I think it's just the one background gag of her being brainwarped by Chloe changing (which was the preview image for that strip, so it may have gotten undue attention).

On another note, has anyone ever heard of a cold that makes the patient's voice higher?!
