Actually, magickal sex changes in this setting don't seem to produce people with gender dysphoria. Judging by what happened with Kade, at least, they adjust the subject's self-image to match their external anatomy.

Except it isn't. The way Pandora explained it made it clear that this isn't like what happened to Kade or Ace. She was the one that said he's still male. She even tells him he doesn't have to worry about the babies thing.

Plus, the method of transformation was different from the orb, so i fail to see why'd you assume it's the same.

You are describing magical changes by the ord, not from magical demon blood.

Also, nothing that happened with the orb happened to Teddy last time he transformed with DiDi's blood or this one.

You can't assume all forms of gender changing magic is the same.

Okay, sorry, I'd forgotten that. Though Pandora claiming that "it's biology, not magic" is a little dubious; real biology doesn't do stuff like that, and the cause was definitely supernatural. Feel free to claim that "sex change through exposure to ectoplasm and demon blood" is closer to a clerical than a wizard spell, if you like, I guess.

Ironically, one of the stretch goals, How Do You Do That, has a section on changing gender. You can say that succubus blood doesn't have a mental component but the orb does.
