Not really, since the first had a cryptid who was presented sympathetically and pulled a karma Houdini despite eating people. That's a major departure from someone like Queen Quintessa, who was portrayed as a relic from the past who had to be defeated and made harmless. The second is the main character who, as Error of Logic said, wasn't a killer even at her worst. Now her best half is also homicidal. Something like that happening to Ace during the full moon is no longer unthinkable. (The vampires probably won't become murderous though, to avoid an outcry from their fans.)Gotoh wrote:That's a weird leap of logic, based on only two other people's actions. Especially since Ace has been shown eating at diners and even took Mel to his favorite one.tau neutrino wrote:Between this and the murderous siren in the previous comic, I'm wondering if Ace will be eating people when his comes up.

@tau neutrino: Which is admitting that you're basing your assumption on the actions of only two people. Neither of whom have any bearing on Ace's actions.
As for the part concerning Marine, that's already been argued to death (pages 2 and 3, starting here).

Just one's enough, if it changes the tone of the strip. If one of the chars in Ma3 committed murder, that would open the possibility for almost any of the cast to do it. In the original MC, Melissa was set up to kill Cerise so that she would no longer be worthy of the wand. But even her dark half didn't do it, so she found a third way. Now her light half wants to kill. Mentioning Ace is hyperbole to show how the situation has changed.
