I did not see any issue of transition, last panel before this strip, both were distracted while talking to each other , and suddenly a wave popped up in first panel of today from the side

Where do you see that? The strip reads left to right, so the last panel of the previous strip was Dusky being confused by her saying she was going to eat him.

Gotta say too, for a story titled "siren brawl" there has been no actual brawling.

both talking, Marina looking at Dusky while saying she might eat him and keep her sight on him while he got confused while looking at her, both weren't focusing on what was going on around them, than........................

next strip a wave comes

Ah I see, I thought you meant they were distracted by something else "while" talking to each other, but it seems you meant they were distracted "by" talking to each other.
