I just noticed these new pages, and I have to ask. Is this gonna start off pretty good, then devolve into complete nonsense with only two or three updates a month, like Aoi House, VC/PMS, and Magick Chicks did? If so, that's alright, but I'd like to know ahead of time so I can forget about it for a few months, then catch up to the story in ten minutes.

It seems Tiff's about to get a crack at her first real monster. So... will she go all Stephanie Kane? Or will she find some other way of dealing with Marine?

(Hopefully Tiff won't get abducted and turned into a brood mare for cryptids. That still gives me the creeps.) If by "first real monster" you mean one that kills people as opposed to the usual EC cryptids that she's met, would going Stepanie Kane be the right thing to do if Maruine has deliberately drowned a lot of people?

I wonder why Dusky wasn't affected.

Don't forget, he's a slayer too, from the same lineage as Tiff and attending Apollo Academy. He's probably had training to resist mystical attacks, the same way Ash was able to avoid being drained to death by three succubi.

Doesn't look like it. As nice as a Non-Malicious Monster would be, it's kind of hard to believe at this juncture. Seducing men to their deaths requires a certain amount of conscious evil, don't you think?

If there's no alternative, or if it's deemed for the best. It's what she and the other AA students are being trained for. Even Steph had her first kill at some point and it's to be expected some of the AA students will too... eventually.

Maybe, but we can't simply assume he's a slayer just because he's from the same family. It'd be like assuming Paul's an esper just because his sister is.

The point of that scenes was to establish Ash's virility as a male, which Chloe lampshaded three times. First when she sent Laura to find one for them (4th panel), the second being due to his testosterone level, and she was flabbergasted that he wasn't at least tired after being fed on for over an hour.

I'm still holding out hope that this is misdirection, even though it looks very much right now like she's willfully and gleefully luring the boys to their deaths. It's just that, even if she did plan to drown Dusky before, her MO seems so different here.

At this point this is very unlikely. Especially since it was already established that people have died by drowning. And how would luring them into the ocean protect them?

Maybe if some land-based predator that can't abide the sea itself has been drowning its victims by sticking their heads in buckets of sea water and then chucked the corpses into the ocean. Getting the chumps into the briny blue before it could get at them would then be an efficient way to save them.
