The second panel is interesting: her face looks sincere, even though she's not looking at him. Someone on the previous strip posted that maybe the sirens don't realize how fragile humans are - or it could be, again, that the sirens are genuinely good, and the girl from the first two pages is something more sinister. (No technicolor hair, no scales or seashells...)

She's cute. Maybe Dusky will luck out and have a gf by the end of this arc.

I wonder what beach they are at. I used to live on the Great Lakes and you don't find such aquatic life on Lake Ontario.

I just realized something: We don't know if she's an actual siren or not. In fact, we don't even know if she's a monster at all.

Yeah, that was actually one version of the legend. The fishy finny version seems to be more widespread, though.
