Yes her Ilsa's sadistic tendencies would buy Chloe enough time to save him. And since she is the teacher and not bound by the bet Torrid cannot do anything about it.

Uh oh... Is Teddy going to blurt out what Chloe's really been doing? I don't think Slash-Stab would be too happy to find out that her student has been trying to save Teddy's soul instead of damning it.

True but then Slash-Stab will remember what Chloe had done during the Valentine's day competition point this out to her and make her realize that no matter what she does in trying to help Teddy she will sabotage every attempt in some way because in the end she wants Teddy all to herself no matter what and by trying to get Teddy out of the deal Chloe is inadvertently tormenting him with false hope. I smell Extra Credit for Chloe
