Had to reread this a couple of times. DarkMel's not visible (what's happened to her), the double-outlined balloons are the Espers, Faith's (temporarily?) driving them back, Mr Inky Cerise has split attention (with some slightly confusing dialogue - Faith "now, right after" LightMel? That's what really tripped me up - granted, I'm pretty tired), then she gets Wanded, ja?

That's about the size of it. Cerise gets sparkles and rainbows up the nose.

Cerise is easily distracted and gloats to much ... she should have just *dark snick* Melissa's spirit (killing her physically would not work after all she can form a body out of nothing). Too bad Magic Chicks is ending ... Art is strong in Shouri ... very different from Cassandra's style ... but I beginning to get use to her take on how she drawing characters.

Eh, I'm beginning to think Cerise is not in control of her own actions. The coven is still under a compulsion spell placed on them by the Principal of Charybdis Heights so its possible (however unlikely) that this was part of some plan between the two schools. Sort of a "live fire" exercise that Hekate monkeywrenched....

Well this is confusing. Dark Melissa is missing even though she was standing right next to Light Melissa just before Cerise lunged at her. Was she swept aside?

Then there is this conversations which I am assuming is Faith speaking telepathically. Why would Faith warn her not to attack Light Melissa? As a demon hunter she has the least compassion for a witch who tried to kill her and her friends. Perhaps she might be goading her into attacking, but she was poised to do that anyway. Maybe Faith fears what happens after Cerise is defeated, but then it seems unwise to give away the element of surprise if her intent is to attack Dark Melissa following Cerise's demise.

No, she isn't. There's only so much room in each panel and the ones of Cerise and Light Mel are close-ups.

Why would Faith warn her not to attack Light Melissa?

That was the esper collective warning Cerise that they could no longer contain Faith, because she's mentally overpowering them (panel 3). Which is why Cerise becomes alarmed in panels 4&5 and says it shouldn't be possible for anyone (i.e. Faith) to be that strong.

Basically, Cerise 'tempted Faith' (last panel, here, 1st panel, here) and now she's coming back to haunt her. Pun intended.

I think in last panel of previous both mels were swept aside AND down, than Cerise picked up light Mel thus why dark is not visible, we shall see in next strip who attacked her in the last panel (dark mel? light? both? faith? all 3? )
