Ok, first, who would let a Catapult get that close to the enemy. It's a long range fire support design. Second, how did it get that close to a Warhawk (either prime or B Configuration) without being vaporized.

When I did the image search it was the best looking DFA that I could find. Other picks looked more like dropkicks or physical attacks. I think it was a joke pic for the vary reasons you listed.

You know what, Lamia seems surprise she felt pain, or that little Layla hurt her, so that makes for a interesting chance

It's also notable that just making contact with Lamia does not guarantee they will be absorbed so she must do this at will. Perhaps this is a defensive measure so she does not absorb something she does not want.
