Hmmm It going to take a bit to get use to Waltrip's art ... the 4th panel seems to be lacking something. As for Teddy being shy ... scared sh*t-less more like it. What is Alchemy thinking? Scare him to death?

"Wake the beast inside me"
...
Last time I said that was when I was in middle school and it almost got me sent to juvie. Then again, saying it in a threatening tone as well as using colorful words that mean 'death' might have contributed a lot

Back on topic: panel 4, what possibly made Alchemy think that was a good idea?
We sealed him not out of fear of what he was, but out of fear of what he could do. So much power and knowledge at his disposal...he could destroy all of existence and remake it instantaneously

With his soul and energy torn from his flesh, it took little effort to contain him. We made his prison on to a burning planet, an world unfit for life. Even when the seals are unlocked, no vessel will be there for him to take

A rift in the Cosmos mark his return
Upon his resurrection the Universe will burn

SOP in her line of work.

Anyway, I imagine it was just the idea of his death wearing a leopard-print miniskirt that traumatised Teddy. I'm sure that the lad has some sense of aesthetics.

Those last two panels are pure gold. Poor Teddy. Also, I'm glad Alchemy is back.

Alchemy needs to work on toning down her entrances a bit. =))
For those curious: my avatar is an artistic rendering of a spaceship I drew for a primitive (by today's standards) multiplayer online game called XPilot. (More about both on my website.)

Bzzz.

I guess he didn't want any muffins.

Hmmm, so she did mean to kiss Chloe, and it seems like she still a girl, and not a guy, odd.

I didn't mention this last time, but I appreciate how close Waltrip is hewing to Cassandra's character models.

Me think Alchemy must be very good at her job... no matter if their time is up or not, her "customers" WILL die when she shows up! :D

... now, to get her to dial her appearances down from 10 so somewhere around 5 :p

the first 2 panels were actually Okay, not to same degree we accustomed to, but they were OK

the last and in a minor degree some of the other ones are kind of disproportionate drawings which I hope will not be consistent and as wild as the ones done by the Benders for the Alley Opp strip

if he works on that............. I will be willing to upgrade him from C to a B

Why didn't she go directly for the kiss with Teddy ? Would have worked fine, just than with Chloe. Conversely, why didn't she make her great entrance with Chloe ? :-\

To me Teddy doesnt quite look right in either panel. Also, there's something.....off about the background elements.

Ane it's nkt just new-haircut syndrome. I had the same take on his art back in P&A, which I came to so late he was the first artist I saw.

THE MUFFINS OF DEATH... ARE DEATH! :ymdevil:

Yep, Teddy looks a bit different from before, but I can get used to it easily.

He seems to work out a lot, though.

Artists are like fingerprints. No two are exactly alike. Jason can't possibly match the old art exactly, nor should he try. Besides, it seems to me he's doing a fine job. New artist can stay.
