In Civilization (the videogame) Ghandi is normally one of the most peaceful characters, but due to a bug in the game, he can become the most warlike and prone to using nukes. Essentially, he's got such a low aggressiveness score that when the game tries to make him even less aggressive, his aggression score goes negative and that rolls over into an insanely high aggressive score.

I think we're seeing a version of that. Pru has a very low dishonesty score and the truth serum pushed her dishonesty into the negative numbers, which thanks to her dishonesty score being coded by a single byte, makes it an incredibly high dishonesty score.

Yeah, I was shocked at that as well. In an angel, truth serum turns into lie serum.... I can believe it! After all, angels are 'disallowed' to lie under normal circumstances and actively cannot lie (the angel girl has allowed the human girl to jump to her own conclusions, just not correcting her misassumptions because she has been told not to let on that she is an angel), so a truth serum would by that logic have the opposite effect on them.

for me the serum makes angels say "obvious ridiculous lies"
