The wand having most of the answers, with nearly unstoppable power would be horrific as far as story is concerned. We do know it's powerful, but that powerful?

I'd much prefer that Faith and co, having between them a fair range of power and drive, were able to figure out a way to escape Cerise's attack, but that it took them a while. After all, it's been, what, almost a week?

again NOT TALKING connection in same level as Melissa and Dakota, but the wand is somewhat connected to both Tiff and Faith (Faith is one who revealed the wand OUT of Melissa body) and also the friendship of Jacqui with Mel allowed the missing 6 to get a link out of wherever they were at(maybe the Kingdom of Anastasia if it is not the volcano, or somewhere else) thanks to the wand

whatever way the writing goes, we have to respect it, maybe ALL OF US are far away from the answer used

gotoh - what you said would be valid if we keep thinking of the wand as an object that only helps make powerful magic and nothing more

but it makes sense if we think of the wand as Gandalf in a sentient object form, that for the most part HAS MOST OF THE ANSWERS

I've never said the wand is just an object. We've known that it's sentient for awhile now - since it can assume whatever form it wants, whenever it wants, and impose its will over its wielder, or simply drop in on someone else's subconscious. It's pretty well-established that it has a mind and a will of its own.

But I disagree about it having all the answers, 'cuz that'd be Dakota and Mow, based on whatever they discussed that prompted Dakota to try to kill Anastasia ahead of the time they agreed on. And, so far, we haven't been told what that was all about, or what made Dakota believe that it couldn't be helped.

The wand/'fade-out' girl's motives may, or may not, have something to do with that.

Melissa stated during the reveal of the Anastasia/Dakota having Melissa that she is not a pureblood witch

we don't know if Mel is daughter (biologically) of Dakota or of Anastasia, maybe both

at first sight(because of the Wand link to Melissa) one would jump to the conclusion that Dakota is the mom(either just her, or both her and Anastasia)............. but Dakota was not a daughter of a previous starlight (we can assume there used to be previous starlight heroines?) so we can still have Mel as a biological daughter of just Anastasia and wand chose Mel as next starlight

would be interesting to see if we find one of them is not biological mom of Mel, would she still care about Mel and choose to save her?(Dakota is almost a given if the wand can only chose a "good Mel", but how Anastasia responds? )

How?

Anastasia doesn't even know Tiffany and she has no way of knowing where the missing students are, because Cerise hasn't told anyone where she sent them. Plus, as far as Anastasia knows, all of the missing students are dead. So even if she knew where to find them, she'd have no reason to look for them, since it'd already be too late to save any of them.

The wand... came from the Academy

The fight... taking place at the Academy

The Academy (and it's students/protectors) are in danger...

I wondered if/when anyone would mention The Academy.

We know The Academy contains some form of power - Tiff, Faith and Mel have all tapped into it. In Tiff's case, when doing her MMAA schtick; in Mel's case, it triggered the emergence of the wand (with Faith assisting in its removal). So it's likely there's some connection between the Wand and the Academy's power.

So maybe it wasn't the Wand which retrieved Tiff, but rather the Academy's power sensing it was in danger and retrieving Tiff from wherever she was to help out (assuming there's a connection between Tiff and the Academy's power - possibly also with those who've learned how to [safely!] tap into it).

Of course, Tiff is likely to serve as little more than a distraction, but hopefully she'll distract Cerise long enough for the Ninja Club to more proactively get involved (since they were resistant to the Dark takeover) - possibly with a little tactical know-how from Sandi (if she's been keeping tabs on the fight, she should have picked up a fair amount of useful information).

I would really rather this really was the real MMMA, first of all because I'd be glad to see her back and also because if it was the Academy or the wand that would be an even bigger deus ex machina than Tiffany with improbably good timing.
