That had nothing to do with it. Blair just happened to be the first thing she came in contact with when she reached through the portal, and he was the first thing she saw when she passed through it.

Tia didn't concern herself with Nina, until Nina asked her to give Blair back. We don't know what her reasons are, but Nina isn't a part of it.
