I'm not sure how I feel about it though. I mean. I'm glad Cerise is starting to think again, but the problem (as always) is: has she thought this through?

Even if her plan works and it causes the wand to reject Mel, unless she's content with a pyrrhic victory, all she's really done is further empower her. So I have to wonder if Cerise really is planning to recoup the power she passed onto Skye, and whether she believes it's gonna help her any.

If nothing else, that's a good thing for Cerise, that she didn't sacrifice Skye. At least separates her from Anastasia.

Welp, who knows? Maybe Cerise will kill Mel this way, maybe the "volcano girls" are all burnt to a crisp, maybe Ava will die a pint-sized old lady. More likely, "killing" Mel will be the first step toward Cerise's redemption. (Fun as it would be to have a "travel-sized" recurrent character, somehow I doubt that as well. And Jacqui, Tiff, Faith, etc. being dead is just out of the question.)

Called It First! (I think) My Speculation.... Stated it possible for Cerise to use a "Dark Gambit" (Sat Apr 26, 2014 4:37 pm ) ... pleasantly surprised that Dave wrote that into the story (naturally he stated he worked out the story 2-3 years ago)... did not think he would. But now that Cerise has done the "Dark Gambit" how will it affect Melissa? ... will she split into two?

Then again, maybe she isn't in full control and it's all part of Hekate's scheme.

Still, Cerise is just making Mell even stronger, i don't think this was smart. Especially now that Mell might turn evil.

On this hand: Cerise has done what may be the only thing that could guarantee her survival and to be accepted back in the fold by Hekate (because Hekate was probably right about Mel being powerful enough to kill Cerise, and even if Cerise killed Mel, she would still have to deal with Mel's very pissed and resourceful parents).

On the other hand: This ensures that Mel will be Hekate's favorite again, forever. That would be an un-Cerise-ish thing to do, so I bet she has a plan to recover her power (with Skye's help, probably) once the wand has rejected Mel...or maybe she thinks that she can claim the wand herself.

Okay, I *really* didn't expect Cerise to whole-hog dump ALL her dark power into Mel! Cerise inarguably leaving Mel more powerful?! (Even if Mel loses the wand and Cerise sucks all the dark power out of Skye, Mel would still be way ahead of her from the depowering.)

The result leaves Cerise pretty damn vulnerable though. She's more-or-less helpless on the floor, Mel gets a power boost that specifically amplifies insecurity and hatred. And Cerise "killed" her best friend. And Tiff. And some others. Hellava gambit...

Well... that happened. I've got no idea who will do what anymore in this comic so I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the show.

So many different theories behind Cerise's strategy. Here's mine. Perhaps Cerise figured out that the wand was just too powerful and she couldn't win so she injects all of her dark powers into Melissa so the wand will reject her and Cerise could then wield it. She probably can't because even though she's a witch she's done a lot of evil things that would disqualify her, but this wouldn't be the first time she made a rash decision.

I cannot believe Cerise would do anything selfless unless it meant a long term gain.

So she finally figured out what Hecate meant for her to do all along. Bravo. How many months did it take her?

Problem is, Melissa is powered-up right now. And we saw what happened when Melissa tried to pump Cerise full of her own magic while she was powered up - she threw up a rainbow. Looks like Melissa is throwing up shadow right now...

So after hanging on for deal life, Ava just daintily jumps down from Mel's hat with no problems?

And... is Mel just going to vomit this out? Somehow I don't see how this can be just a Hekate triumph.
