Yeah, for some reason, I envisioned the vampire hunter's situation of Layla-Crush, instead of the lovely mind rape. Fixed it now.

btw, anyone notice these are the parts of herself Layla keeps hidden. She tries to act overconfident, nevershowing self loathing. She doesn't try to be outwardly jealous. She only showed feara once, when Faith had her at her mercy. And she's been denying having any attraction to girls since the "outing" incident.

So now we know they are personifications of Layla's insecurities. Makes sense except for old Chloe. Why does she represent fear. I know she was shy and timid in the beginning, but not really fearful.

Timid is just a different form of fear...plus, Layla is kind of afraid of Chloe...

I miss bimbo body nina.

I think Chloe is fear because Chloe's major arc centered on Chloes fear of growing up

No, because you're ignoring the obvious question of why they're hiding in the cave to begin with. Not to mention that the Lamia personality has been shown to be able to turn other psyches into statues (of her), and is currently fighting with what have to be other aspects of Layla's mind.

In any case, both Chloe and Pandora have shown attraction for both sexes. For that matter, Abby hasn't shown any interest in boys, so she's likely not straight either.

That's pretty big assumption to make when, in likelihood, she hasn't reached the stage in her development where'd she'd have any sort of interest in anyone yet.

I assume you mean being completely straight with no bi tendencies? That is some straight behavior at least is certainly the norm or the human race would have more problems reproducing.

Course heteronormative has a different definition of "norm" than what I would use (which I assume is why you used the term "default"). For instance the norm (most common, usual) for humans is to be right-handed, with apparently 70-90% of the world being that way. I am left-handed and while living in a right-handed-focused world can be annoying I take no offense to the fact that most people aren't left-handed.

Huh? Abby seemed pretty interested in Zach. Blushing, stammering, almost wanting his safety over her brother's.

And I got the impression Chloe's main interest (on an instinctual level in fact, as noted when she got drunk) is in men (though for food as much as romance) and women factor into her desires only if they count on some "sexy chart" succubi have (and at present we only know female vampires to count in this).

Aside from that, this is an interesting update. I suppose the image of Faith must've been Layla's ego then. Which makes me wonder if we'll see a side of her that's represented by Ace that explains why she gives him such a hard time?

One can talk big. Mel and Layla share the same problems...believe themselves all that while still having issues with themselves (both of which seems to be their looks). Why Layla has gotten jealous of the breast size of others (which Mel hasn't shown an envious streak of).

...now as for Layla's bi curious side, I see no reason why Layla's sub conscience would lie about it, but it makes me curious if Mel has been one of Layla's crushes or just Bi Curious side of her sub conscience making the comment.

That may be, but it still doesn't answer the question. If she was ever jealous of Mel, she's never shown it. As in, not even vaguely implied. The closest she ever came was when she called Mel a harpy for going after Kade, after she'd been dumped. But in the scene I linked to (and others), Mel always appeared to be jealous of Layla.

That was where Chloe and Maria are concerned. Though I'm still of the opinion that she's fine as is, her bust size compliments her figure.

Bi-curious doesn't automatically imply she's ever had a crush on anyone of the same sex. It just means she may have thought about it at some point.

For example: I might be curious about a certain movie, or I might've thought about eating at new restaurant. But just because I thought about it doesn't mean I'm gonna do it. It may have seemed interesting until I decided to stick with my usual preferences.

I'll be more surprised than I already am if it turns out Layla's ever secretly had a crush on another girl.

Abby is young enough that this may not really be a meaningful question for her yet. Yes, her potential sexuality is probably formed by now, but she may not be expressing it meaningfully as yet.
