Does that mean all reapers are straight in their gender fluid nature? Or is it just Alchemy's nature? What happens if the subject they encounter is gay? What if they identify themselves as gay but the person they are with do not and expect a gender compatible reaper?

Alchemy, dear, you seem have a bypass in your wiring. With "ordinary" people, when words start on their way out they have to go through a checking station for an okay, except when we’re too mad or scared or something. You may have a perfectly good checking station, but for some reason, maybe a loose connection, it often gets bypassed. ;)

Anyway, apparent confirmation that (a) Alchemy is a full shapeshifter, not just binary Al/Kimmy, (b) "Al"'s manifestation may very well have been enabled by Chloe's preferences and (c) Alchemy's been reaping a lot of Sandman fans lately ;)

I guess reapers are just not used to interacting with succubi. The latter have pretty massive racial bonuses to appearance -- heck, good looks are pretty much the primary requirement for a succubus to do her job. And low population / infinite life span kind of makes succubi death rare.

Besides, what the heck happens to a succubus who does get killed? Going home to hell is quite out of question.
