We don't know that, do we? According to Rain, when he did finally ask Skye out, the only thing he would tell Jacqui was that Cerise stole Skye away. And AFAIK, the only other time we've seen Rain and Skye interacting was on this page, which is clearly after the doorway-to-elsewhere incident.

(Also, from that page... notice Skye tells Rain that she wants "a real woman", and Rain isn't it. Do you think she knows his secret?)

Taking into account that Faith (unconsciously?) turned all the girls at Artemis into lesbians, it is entirely possible that Skye is hetero when free of any mind control (both Faith's and Cerise's).

Of course, an hetero Skye may decide that Rain is too girly/androginous for her.

What you're describing is more like what Chloe did, here, which isn't what happened in Faith's case. All that was said was, the school was remade in her image by planting a suggestion - not outright mind control. And we saw plenty of girls hooking up with each other, rather than Faith, which was likely the result of that.

I have pointed out, we saw the volleyball girl before too (first panel, to Amelia's right).

Would Professor X close down the Xavier Institute after a single incident? No. He'd treat it as a learning experience for himself and his students, they'd adapt accordingly, and they'd move on.

There's still a need for Artemis, because there are cryptids that pose a threat to humanity. If a single witch could take over their school, on her own, and enslave the students and its faculty, that's all the confirmation they need that cryptids can be dangerous and need to be dealt with. About the most that'll happen is, they may shift their stance from zero-tolerance, to accepting that not all cryptids are inherently evil, since one (possibly two) of them will have helped save their school.

There were no bullies. Aside from the hazing incident, everything we've seen them do has been within the shool's guidelines; including breaking the arms of any boys caught tresspassing on their campus.

No, it doesn't. People throw that word around way to freely these days. Making yourself more attractive isn't rape, unless you think women should be thrown in jail for applying make-up and perfume to look more appealing to a guy they're interested in.

It was a suggestion, not mind control. Meaning, no one was being made to do anything against their wills. Which is why Faith wasn't aware that her powers were affecting the other students, because there was nothing out of the ordinary to alert her to what was going on.

There's only been one such attempt, and it was only six students. As tragic as that would've been, had she succeeded (which remains to be seen), that's only a handful.

Which glosses over the fact that the girl in question had willingly become an enemy of the school and was being detained. That was within their right and was to be expected.

The faculty was captured and enthralled by Cerise's followers and we didn't see how they accomplished it. They may have been caught unawares, since most teachers don't expect their students to turn on them and bind them to their wills, then offer them to pagan gods. Think about how outlandish that sounds. No one would even consider the possibility of something like that happening until it actually did.
