OK first things first, Pandora for the win. It looks like some kind of juice box (the purple stuff) that she was drinking out of before she burst out laughing.

Panel two Chloe makes it hard for me to keep on reading.

I'm pretty sure Dora was referring to her "teaching" of Teddy when he was shape shifted. In her comment about Teddy's taste that is.

My hypothesis is that because of the contract, Chloe is going to find Teddy more... tasty than normal as a kind of reward for doing what she was sent there to do.

Is Teddy yummier to Chloe because of the contract? (I'm guessing he's Chloe's first contract, and maybe Pandora wouldn't be able to tell, because she didn't have one yet/she had some, but cannot tell because Teddy is not one of hers) Did he develop uncanny succubus-attracting powers lately, alla Gary? Or is that something else? (some of you called romantic attraction, but it wouldn't be necessarily that... Perhaps there is something in Teddy's body that seems to be tailored to Chloe's tastes? The possibilities are endless.)

Concerning Teddy tasting so yummy, I think the explanations so far (e.g., it's because she is contracted to him, or because she is falling in love with him) are good ones, still, I offer two more lower-probability alternatives:

- It's because he drank all the purple stuff. It fulfills a similar role in succubus feeding as, waht was it, broccoli and pineapple in... you know. ;)

- It's simply because she has not "had any" for quite a while.

I noticed something else too: in panel 3, Chloe's still wearing her panties. So she hadn't taken them off.

So I wonder if Pandora is referring to her "teaching" session with Teddy when he had Chloe's body when she mentions how he tastes, or if she has taken the opportunity to feed from him more seriously when no one was looking (sneaking into Teddy's bed at night for instance).

Leaning toward the latter. She's already leeching his money, his food, his TV, his purple stuff, why wouldn't she leech his energy too?

Well unless Chloe intended to eventually kill Dio back when she wanted to date him, there must be ways for succubi to enjoy romances with men without risking eating them if they get too excited.

Chloe was pretty ignorant at that point though - she didn't even know about succubus shapeshifting, it seemed!

My pet theory is that Chloe's teachers knew exactly what she would do when they sent her to Teddy, and that sergeant Slash-Stab knew very well what she was up to when she authorized her to stay with Teddy.

This is all a lesson for Chloe. She has to learn that she's a demon and that she can't be anything else, that her power is only useful for evil, and that she can't approach mortals without ruining their lives.

Possibly, which would come back to her declaration at the start of Chapter 3 that "all [her] powers have evil applications." Since that's pretty meaningless as a statement - what DOESN'T have evil applications?! - I've always read that she'd been taught in Hell that her powers are hardwired toward Chaos And Doom, even if she doesn't quite believe it. (The fiasco during her time-travelling did nothing to suggest otherwise).

Except we're told they focus on not doing that outside of contracts. I more think this is a Pandora thing than a succubus thing. I wonder too if her "that's hilarious line" was what Chloe was trying to convince Teddy she "did not mean" when Abby came in. Sounds like Pandora is the one out to try to save Teddy, hence the "I know she'll come through for you" line.

Then again, succubi may not view death the way other beings do. Their connection with the supernatural world means there is little difference between talking with a soul and with a living body. Take Hekate from MC, who seems to view death as nothing more than passing from one state of existence into another, she even remarked that dying would "be good for" Cerise.

Keep in mind too how Pandora treats her "best friend." Putting others through big problems is fine and even amusing to her provided she is confident she can fix things in the end. I'd wager if her full thoughts were on display it'd be more like "you killed him, that's hilarious, I can't wait for all the fun I'll have as we try to get him back." She seems fond enough of Teddy to not truly want him to die.

Yeah, I think Pandora's reaction is more like "YOU killed Teddy ? THAT is hilarious", i.e. the fact that Chloe did something anyone would have more expected from Pandora. Just reading the end of the strip proves Pandora is not panicking and thinks there's nothing not fixable. In fact, she seems pretty familiar with this kind of accident. Make of that what you will. *shrug*
