That wasn't contrary to his specific, assigned mission, though. He seems to take that marginally more seriously than most things.
And as Luzahn says, a situation where Blair has had Mental Bondage cast on him but Ace is still a free agent, while they're sharing a body, is the set-up for some good jokes.

I think it makes for a better story if Blair is just a sucker for female charms (consistent with his personality), than having this be due to magic or vampiric powers.

I don't think Tia will show up right now either, but in the long-term I think her role may be instrumental against Lamia (much like Blair ended up instrumental against panties-Chloe). She's definitely bound to "clash" with Laylamia's plans to reform the school into her empire's first stronghold, for example, because Tia doesn't take orders from anyone (nor submits to be anyone's subordinate). On the other hand, she has shown to not be very effective even against "non-augmented" Layla in the past (had to drag Cessily into the argument) so we'll see if she can really be more than a mild annoyance.
And folks were getting hot 'n bothered over what Nina's gonna look like when she grows up? If this is any indication of what Layla's gonna look like, once she reaches adulthood, Nina's got nothing on her.
I kinda wish Faith was still around so she could meet Laymia. I'd love to see who could seduce whom.
In all seriousness though... the more this situation develops, the more I have to wonder who's bright idea it was to choose Blair for this mission? Was there really no one else in his "group" that could've handled this? As much as I don't usually care for the 'lil runt, I'd at least hope he had some degree of competency and reliability at the only job he's been entrusted with.
Oh yes, now Nina knows what it feels like to have her sister flirt with her boyfriend. Though Laymia's just toying with Blair, so Nina really has nothing to worry about.
If I was Ace I just get rid of the Blair within... where is that doll body again? Then once that resolved it is search for a nice decent werewolf girl, date her instead of all the loonies snake girls, vampires and witches. Let everyone else deal with the Lamia problem.

For all we know all the werewolf girls around are even crazier, or are too young, too old, or his cousins...What about dating a human girl? His full moon problem aside, Ace is almost a normal human; I think it would be easy to forget that he's a cryptid once you got used to his hands. I think Ace and Skye would make a nice couple if the latter reverts to her wallflower self after current Cerise-derived shenanigans (of course, it would be nice if Skye became a little more assertive once she reverts to normal)...

I heck for Ace this kind of stuff might be the least of his concern. Getting Blair out of his body might be his highest priority now.
I feel bad for him and Nina as well. Nina finally gets Ace to see her as more than a friend and here she sees Ace kissing her sister. All I can think now is this will end badly for Ace.
