Lets get down to it, Nina had hit physical puberty (I mean, look here), but it was her emotional maturity that's always seemed to be lagging behind. Somehow, though, I doubt that even when she emotionally matures, that outfit might be outside her normal choices.

My question is, was she physically switched before panel 4, or was she just making assumptions as she is wont to do. It is a bit hard to see with the angles and the boy's uniform. Of course, Blair seemed to be looking at something there.

ETA: Okay, as per my normal SOP, I went back and looked and answered my own questions. If you look closely between panel's 2 and 3, you see subtle changes in her nose, eyes and the neckline of her collar.

1. She got DiDi-fied.

2. She traded body shape/style with Chloe...

I'm thinking that since maybe Melissa was zapped, the Ying-Yang orb turned Nina into the image of her?

I think the orb's going to turn everyone it hits into the opposite gender, but to the peak of their hotness in both body and clothes.

Ah, yes. I support that theory; the orb's magic is now going to re-zap everybody, bestowing the attributes of it's victims in reverse order. Melissa was the latest victim, so now Nina's got Melissa incarnate. (Seems the orb isn't to picky 'bout who it zaps with what).

First Nina's girl to boy orb spell wore off.

She then got nailed by Jacqui's FABULOUS spell.. that spell changes clothing too.

Not a bad theory. Could make some sense, and that outfit might be Jaqui's idea of 'fabulous'.

It seems simple to me: Blair asked for more girl, he got more girl.

I've got a WAG to add to the list.

All we've seen in the last few strips is girls being turned into boys. Maybe the orb is absorbing all of their female attributes and pumping them into Nina. Blair was controlling the orb when it overloaded, so it's reacting to his idea of the perfect woman when it makes the changes. And becase it is overloaded from so many rapid changes, it is going beyond its original function of changing gender and starting to affect physical appearance and clothing.

Simple solution: That orb is in fact an invention of Ted Verres and Nina got hit with Version 5 (Sans hair growth.).
