She knows that Sandi knows who she is - a dark magical supervillain. At that point, pretending to be cute and fluffy is probably pointless and certainly undignified. Better to try intimidation.

The wand got the drop on her this time, while she was unprepared and fighting someone else. That doesn't mean that she couldn't handle it when she was ready and had a few hellbeasts around to shield her.
