I'm with JoybuzzerX, Ash doesn't look concerned. If anything, he appears to be enjoying himself.

That said, I have all new respect for him, the guy's fighting a Melusine for probably the first time in his life, and it seems about even from what I can tell... and he's cool as a cucumber.

Save neither, acquire popcorn and enjoy the show, they can take care of themselves :3

I think Melissa will adopt Tiffany's strategy and will just stand there fuming until and unless the situation will become actually life-threatening.
Of course, given how the previous conflict was resolved, it may take a far more embarrassing turn if she isn't allowed to act on her own.

Ash is smiling because "re-e-eally serious" is, uh, "hot". For what it's worth.
But since Brooke already grabbed him, she probably would need only to bend in another direction or suddenly shift two coils, and half of his appendages will be of little use until bones mend.
