Say, could it be that they didn´t saw Tia/heard that in her voice and it sounded like Ace said it? Or am i just overthinking and Brooke was simply worried about Ace´s reaction to that idea? Cause hers in the first panel seemed like he had been the one who had suggested that they should see other people.

Some points for symmetry in the plotting here, by the way; Brooke has just grabbed the boyfriend of the chief enemy of the girl who's just snagged Ace. Which I guess means that Faith should want to direct Brooke back towards Ace, annoying Mel more.

Thing is, Faith's'never shown any sign of thinking of Mel as an enemy. Or even rival. Mel's an enigma (for her unknown past and the wand) and challenge to convert to her side (Faith seems to'think all Atemis girls should admire her, and those who don't are challenges to convert). Yes Mel sees Faith as a rival, but it's almost certain that rivalry is not returned.

I'm on Ace's side here. He's coming clean about the situation (though badly) and Brooke doesn't even hear him out. And then she literally grabs the first guy she sees. What a rotten thing to do. Nevermind ignoring that he says he has a girlfriend.

Of course, Brooke, while truly angry about Mel, is also taking the chance to act on her own desires without looking guilty...I mean, after all she clearly wanted to be the meat in the boy-sandwich, she was probably testing the waters when she called Ace, and all but said that she wasn't in love with him, but gets mad when discovers that Ace feels attracted to other girls, and instead of just trashing him jumps on the boy she has been hungrily ogling...

This is most likely going to end one of three ways (which given that this is a G&D comic means that I'll be completely wrong): One and Two is that Ace and Brooke go through all of this 'Old Crush' stuff and are still together, though either stronger or weaker in their relationship than they were before. And Three is that this ends with them broken up and really seeing other people.

BTW Ace, you handled that just about as badly as you possibly could have.

I have a feeling that this is going to be a reeeaaaalllly awkward double date, or each date will be attempting to spy on the other. And the idea of Mel seeing Brooke and Ash together adds more lunacy.

I seriously doubt this will result in any true long term damage between Brooke and Ace, beyond the two of them feeling highly embarrassed.
