Does not follow. It may be a purposeful test (as a follow-up to the Unfunny Papers aimed at Jacqui-"April", for example) or he can simply keep this clearly labeled book around allthe time to see who will take it. The "dream sequence" part, while also possible, is not necessarily related in any way to whether the book is what its cover says.

Ah, but maybe he doesn't. What we
see he does is a kiss and hand on her butt. It's April who wraps around him all the way. This fits with their relationship enough to make the scene ambiguous.
As to "April", at least Mel may know, with Cerise it's far less likely, but not impossible. And if it's a magical dream sent by anyone in the know (such as, for one, "Mr. Delatorrehhhhh" himself) - all bets are off.
