This was already speculated on last thread... Of course, we will not know the actual answer until the (likely short) chapter is over.

Either that or "Adava Kedavra for Dummies"...

Arbitrary, inexplicable shifts of mood. Very dream-like.

It doesn't seem like a dream at all, it's a stupid thing Cerise is very fitting to make. I wasn't expecting to see a cronological sequence to Skye's "see ya monday", cause there is usually a break point from chapter to chapter. I'd say a while has passed (which shows clearly on the first page) and things haven't changed much, both Mel and Cerise know about Jacqui's April thing and the library staff is under some spell.
Porn movie logic. Two naked women in the same room; obviously, they're going to have sex.
No, this isn't actually a porn movie. But not everyone seems to have noticed that. Spidrift
Cerise is gonna learn the power of the wand first hand.

THAT'S who that lady is!
I like her headdress. It's awesome.

So it is safe to assume this is not a dream sequence but rather an artistic representation of the attention that is given to the two of them. No matter how much cerise does Melissa is impressing people with her battle skill while cerise is merely becoming the flavour of the month.

Also, made with shitty electronics that produce a lot of noise! No wonder she's got an idea that's bound to backfire, it is full of harmonic distortion! There's a reason most good ideas use a good old fashioned incandescent light bulb. ;)
I was initially on the 'dream' interpretation side, and my intuition still goes that way. But what we need is a rational, analytical answer firmly based on facts and logic. I have pondered deeply on this and I believe I have reached an answer which fits all of the requirements. To paraphrase Mark Twain: I was asked whether this chapter represents a dream or actual occurrences. I was pleased to be able to answer the question quickly and clearly. I said 'I don't know.'
A child of 5 could understand this. Fetch me a child of 5. If you can get to 50 without growing up, you don't have to.
There are very few personal problems which can't be solved by a suitable application ofhigh explosives.

ESL (by which I presume you mean Electrical Solid State Lights--i.e. the light-emitting diode array lamps) is still overpriced--I'm waiting for the prices to come down. Where I live (Silicon Valley), the compact fluorescent lights are subsidized, and you can buy them for a dollar or less apiece. At that price, I'm not going to spend seven to twelve bucks per bulb for the solid-state ones.
Still could be a dream. Wouldn't surprise me either way. My only certitude there is that she's going to do something really stupid. Let's just hope it will be entertaining at the same time. ^^
