Also, Arti, write me down as officially shipping Cerise and Callie. They are just soooo cute together, even if Callie is much better than anything Cerise deserves.

I certainly hope, like Raamyah, that Cerise will rise to the occasion and be what Callie deserves.

She won't. At least not any time soon. She has a lot of growing up to do before she can be called deserving of Callie's affection. I really think she'll have to lose everyone and everything before she realizes how much of a selfish prick she's been.

It is actually sort of nice that they are developing Callie's self confidence through this. It is just a shame that at some point the plane needs to crash, I'm not really looking forward to it since I like Callie's character and it will likely darken her as a result but lets face it, it has to happen at some point.

It would also be an opportunity to grow from the experience for her. It will be painful when it happens, and I certainly won't enjoy it, but, it is also necessary. It looks like the authors are setting up a crash for dramatic purposes, so when it does happen, it would at least not be boring. I am also hoping that seeing Callie fall might inspire protective instincts on the part of Faith.

Yeah, wish we could see more of Callie as an independamt character rather than an accessory to Cerise and Faith.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed yet, but I'm wondering if her obsession with being popular, and her means of going about it, were a result of the spell seen in the last chapter. There's obviously some part of the spell that causes them to seek out information, and I'm sure that there's some other aspect that would make it so it doesn't overlap. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch if that spell also gave them specific assignments.

The core: that Cerise needs to come to the realisation that her love for Callie is more important than her quest for popularity, and that quest endangers her love. It'll be hard to do. It will probably involve some sort of major disaster before it gets here. But it's such a fascinating struggle to watch. The hope of redemption, in a secular sense.

Which reminds me... I keep driving past bottle-return places which have the sign "Redemption Center" and it always makes me chuckle.
