Yesterday, I bought Archie No. 636 (with the regular cover). At a big bookstore, Barnes and Noble in Boston, MA. I enjoyed every page. Good work, Giz! PS Are you planning to do any more Archie drawing?

Glad you liked, BlairFan. My next work for Archie is pencils on Archie #639, which will be in stores in November. I finished drawing it earlier this month. We're in talks for other stuff, but nothing is official enough for me to talk about it. So time will tell at this point.

That's all actually really cool to hear. The repeat stuff means they love the results.

Although I'm sure this was not your intention, you should know I'm kinda shipping Girl Moose and Girl Jughead after reading this comic.

Hey! Guess what I just saw'at'work

I work for a printer, and sitting next to the sheet fed press in my department, one side already done, was the cover for the Archie Comics Christmas special issue!

I don't kow if we do the monthly one (or at least I never saw us do a comic book from anyone), and it is a new contract, but still, seems we print some stuff for them.

OK, thinking about it , am I talking about this in the right thread? If not, sorry, just thought that was cool and wanted to share with other fans.

#639 is now on my pull list. I LOVED the two issues you did, and hope we see more Reverse-dale in the future. Heck, "The Married Life" got its own series, why not this one? The biggest problem with it is the loss of you drawing Ma3 and EC.

The thing is I'd like to read Archie but...it just seems...to BIG to get into right now...kind of how I feel about Dr. Who...I wouldn't know where to start.

With doctor who, you can easily start with the 9th doctor as it was 2006. some ecen started at the 10th doctor intro, though you do miss a couple jokes, not to, bad :D.

Yeah, I read a few archie comics at the place I work, though not sure how hard it is to get into them. Looks like a fun christmas story and nice post cards.

Well, at least the issues of Archie Giz has worked on have been stories resolved in a single issue, for better or worse.

Judging by the EC postcard drafts, we could have our question from MC's "Skiiiiiiid" answered and find out what colour the girls Artemis underwear is.
Of course, it's Jacqui who's flashing them. ;)

Picked up Archie #639, and yes, the art is wonderful. Everything we've come to expect from Gisele's talent. I really liked the background stuff, like Veronica choking Jughead, and the dirty looks.

I finally got around to buying the Xmas issue, and I wanted to say how great this one was. It's a sappy plot, but the artwork was tremendous and carried the story. I honestly love this issue from a visual standpoint. Every panel was filled with just enough art and was just right in terms of density. I especially liked the Jughead bit on page 6 that left silent and in the background but still drove the action. It's also fun to see your takes on the Archie gang on the last page, though I think it looks like Jughead wants to eat the fairies...

If they don't get you to do more work, it's their fault, not yours.

Most Archie comics operate in "comics time." It's all rather like Bugs Bunny. Elmer Fudd gets blown up every episode, but he's still at it next episode. When you start reading, and where, is usually irrelevant. There isn't really continuity to speak of. They are all perpetually juniors, dates gone wrong have no impact by the time the next weekend rolls around, and so forth. Myself, I buy the trade paperbacks of Life With Archie (the two alternate futures, which do have continuity), the Giz issues, I just grab a double-digest every now and again (B&V or B&V Friends are probably my favorites, but that's really splitting hairs).

Is this an Archie/Jetsons crossover I see before me? :D
