Q&A about Gisele's Archie work
No update today (too busy signing books).
Decided to do a small Archie promo for Archie #635.

How soon will we lose you to the Americans?
I'm actually relieved! The samples show they pretty much stuck with your style. They didn't go heavy on the inking, and yet maintained the traditional "Archie" look.
Don't be surprised if you become one of their lead artists for the "heavy" issues. I remember when reading the old Archie digests some thirty years ago that the more serious and dramatic stories always got the better artists. You're definitely following that path. Congratulations!
Now why does Betty look so much like Didi?

I thought Ronnie looked a little like Didi, Kevin looked very on-model, Archie had some expressions we've seen on Gary and Junghan, and Andy looked a bit like Ash.
Porn movie logic. Two naked women in the same room; obviously, they're going to have sex.
No, this isn't actually a porn movie. But not everyone seems to have noticed that.

I love how it's completely Archie and yet we can see your style shine through with their facial expressions so easily

I love the fact that the second issue you are doing apparently involves Archie turning into a girl.

Re: Q&A about Gisele's Archie work
For me, the weirdest thing is the lettering. Always a bit of a shock when the art style remains pretty much the same (from EC/MA3/earlyMC, etc) but the lettering is different. I'd probably faint if I saw Usagi Yojimbo lettered by anyone other than Stan Sakai.
I'm itching to get to a comic book store (none close) and pick this up.

The "Archie" girls look so sophisticated and beautiful when Giz draws them.

Is it just me, or does Veronica look a lot like Cyndi from P&A?
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.
