Well, with Chloe now in her own comic, I guess that means she's no longer really an EC character ( no more than Melissa is at least). So, Nina's little circle is now one short. So, does that mean we'll be meeting a replacement character soon? Viv, perhaps?

After all, Fire&Ice are pretty much acting as that role form the Hellrune Coven.

Melissa

Post by pbfhdude »

Anyone else getting a little bored of Melissa now?

It's one thing her learning about new powers she never knew she had but she seems too powerful now and it just seems too much to quickly, it's making her a bit of a boring character. Does anyone agree or am I just being picky?

I don't agree, I think your picky...

I think this storyline is just a dream, so I don't think Mel is that powerful yet. I also really enjoy her discovering her new powers, since it's something she really wants on the one hand (more power) and something she really doesn't want on the other hand (the wand is a tool of justice).

If something is really boring, at least fom my point of view, it's Cerise. I don't really care about her relationship with Callie, I don't even like Callie. She did shoot an arow at the witch trio and no matter how good she is as an archer, that was dangerous. Back to Cerise, such a self centered AND stupid person, I can't stand her.

Melissa on the other hand, while self centered herself, is a clever girl and has shown that she cares for others.

Animesque comedic justice at that. (shudders) :-s :ymdevil:
To me, it looks like Faith was the previous attempt at the same - between "drawing mojo out of the school" and Melissa put on an express power-up routine. So the sources of interest here are - what exactly this entity tries to do with or out of them and how Melissa will handle all this madness.

Normally, would be somewhat less dangerous than e.g. running a boomerang slightly above arm's length over the heads of a crowd (our beloved prof. R.W.Wood). Between manyshot and absurd precision, who knows. But yes, this seems to show how careless they got in AA.

She wasn't much better. But then, Cerise didn't quite stay like this either. That's the interesting part - character development under pressure.

Nope, I'd like to see more of Melissa if anything.

What problems does she have that she could solve through violence? Also, she's overwhelmingly powerful in comparison to Cerise, but known dangers like Hecate and the Corruptor? A bit more of a problem me'thinks. The combat days are just rough training sessions after all.

Melissa still has a lot of development to go. I do have to say that she isn't my favorite character, but she still has a lot of mileage to go.

I don't think this has been asked yet...

Anyone wonder what Artemis Academy looks like to normal people- like on a parents' investment bankroll or whatever? Aren't there investors for private academies who also happen to have children there and such? So on bank or credit card statements or taxes...

Man, would they even look into that stuff unless there was some sort of crime that was committed that involved a student? oO;

...I should delete this and sloowwwlly back away from everything involved with it.

But for some reason, I don't wanna. I'm sorry >_>;;;;

Right now thumbnails (as seen from MC page) got faces of Melissa, Chloe and DiDi. An interesting set of blondes for comparison. :)

Anyone thought of character themes or more general music for comics?
I'm listening to "Black Moon" after each new DC page now simply to avoid having the same as an earworm. Speaking of which. I finally succumbed to the temptation (in the spirit of comics about a succubus and all that), so here there be English lyrics.

Chloe / Melanie Leishman

Post by Shazam »

I was watching Todd and the Book of Pure Evil and one of the characters just struck me as so very Chloe, Hannah played by Melanie Leishman. Figured I'd toss it out there for people's thoughts:

and after?
