Hopefully, Cerise will grow in some way from that plan of her, when it'll kick her back. Even if I too think the whole hating is a bit over-reacting.

as i recall, mel wanted the wand for popularity, not actual power, so that's kind of a wash.

It would be nice to see Sparkle, Chastity and Rosie again. Especially Rosie, I'm kinda surprised she hasn't been brought in more often for added comedy, but maybe that's a legal thing.

Maybe Giz and Dave don't want another party thrown in the ECMC universe so soon since eChloe had her party not too long ago (relatively). And we all know that blew up in her face.
Besides, Cerise probably wants to cement her "relationship" with Callie and become "a driving force in the popularity hierarchy" of Artemis. (Sorry about the quotes there, but if I'd just written that normally, I wouldn't have been able to take it seriously.) Once she starts getting props in the hallways, then she'll start with the parties (assuming her plan doesn't fall apart).

But wouldn't appearing at parties with Callie on her arm raise her status? Or maybe getting caught sneaking off and making out in a side room? You don't have to throw the party to use it to raise your stature.

I hope to God that Cerise is a Lesbian but after so many false starts I will believe it when I see it. If she is not a Lesbian I hope she realizes her little game has conciquinces and for once she will do the right thing and step out of the way so that Sky and Callie can find each other.
