Oh, the Gods can be wonderful too. I mean, when Pygmallion fell in love with the statue he named Gallatea, Aphrodite brought the statue to life.

i've noticed that people who defend their gods often sound a lot like people who defend their abusive spouses.

Other than Athene and Artemis, I tend to avoid the Greek Pantheon. By and large, I'm drawn the Celtic and Shinto pantheons.

You know, considering the untold millions who have been slain throughout human history over "my god(s) is/are better than your god(s)", I can't help but find this "I'll pick one from here, and two from there, and those two from the far side of the Earth will also do fine" to be quite lulzy...

Don, when you boil it all down, the Gods are all just reflections of each other with their attitudes and structures decided by the local people. Athene, Artemis and Brigid are all Maidens, and I tend to be aligned with the Maiden. Ultimately, there are really only two Deities and three Prime Aspects with a multitude of lesser Aspects out there.
