Chloe's plan as far as I can see it: She boys up Kade, absorbs the residual curse from him and then tries to shoot it at Layla. Of course, Dio might try to do the heroic thing and put himself in the way...and get more than he expected.

I kinda hope that doesn't happen, though, it'd be kinda cliche, and given the WTF moment when Ace and Kade first swapped genders, I expect more from this finale.

Meanwhile, just five more updates until this becomes the longest chapter of EC yet!

Yeah, I see Chloe's plan now. Unless I'm sadly mistaken, she's going to use her love-infused magic to turn Kadie-kins back to Kade, then intends to testiclize Layla in the same manner. Dio will leap into the path of the magic bolt at the last second, and WHAM! The boy-girl ratio stays the same, but Layla's and Dio's wedding bells have some cotton stuffed in them.

Also, Mama Love and the rest of the Scooby Gang will change Chloe back, and she will highly regret what she's done, but will be unable to undo the spell on Dionne (which, if it happens, I will claim to be Dio's girl form name).

Actually, it's pretty easy to figure out. Make Layla a boy while returning Kade to boyhood as well. Male Layla will no longer be interested in Dio, will have no female Kade to fall back with, and set up an interesting triangle with Brooke and Ace. All in the name of hijinks. With the panties put away after this, it will be stuck in this situation for a while.

Unless Layla likes girls after all.

I too suspect that Chloe will try to turn Layla into a boy, and that it will backfire spectacularly. Can't wait for the next strip!!!

The way I see this: Chloe is zapping Kade through Blaire. Since Blaire is a "male" spirit, is it possible that Blaire will finally become a female doll, while Kade returns to his male self?

I hope that lady Kade isn't gone yet, personally. I found her antics entertaining (to say the least)

What are Chloe's powers so far? Mainly, transformation. Self or other. Some possession.

So there's a lot of options on this one - this is not normal switching so I doubt it'll be the 'vanilla' option: Kade and Blair both changing gender. I'd rather expect Kadie and Blair to switch bodies. Which Blair may or may not be ecstatic about, and Kadie definitely not. The focus is on Kadie though.

If that's the case, though, why the very specific invite to Layla? Why is Kadie bound? I suspect something more sinister, without guessing what it may be. We shall see.

Well, one way or the other we should be seeing the gist of Chloe's plan come Wednesday. I'm hoping things turn out a bit different than we expected though, not that I'm not liking this potential outcome, but I just wanna be surprised when it happens.

That is a scary, but in my mind possible, turn of events. Most likely, Kade would end up in the doll. Could lead to some 'fun' as Kade tries to prove who he is. Would be even worse if Kade's body does revert to male with Blair in there...

I noticed that the sound effect of Chloe's spell is the same as the one from the Tiresias Orb when Blair was first using it: "ZAAAARRRKKK!!" (with various numbers of duplicated letters, somewhat corresponding to how much power was involved). The orb could flip gender without any exchange being needed and later, when it really got going, it could change all sorts of individual traits, such as making Twigitt, Brooke, and Nina into air-headed blonde cheerleaders. (including making Nina as tall as the others) So, with the power she just got and the residual pattern of the orb's magic from Blair, there's no limit to what she might, plausibly, be able to do.

What she can do, what she is trying to do, and how it will actually turn out are three things we won't know until The Great Gods of EC show us.
