I'm surprised there would be fanfics at all this early.

The strip's been running for a year, and fanfic has been spawned by as little as a non-character being named in a roll-call.

Probably the only thing keeping it in check is the personal presence of the creators, and their lack of active consent to it.

I'd probably whip something up just for the heck of it, if I didn't have original writing, a ridiculously epic (but highly fragmentary) fanfic for another fandom, and several other hobbies going all at once....

As Kade Whiteclaw walked down the halls he noticed that the lights began to flicker making the hairs on his head
and tail stand up
"Sorry to scare you" came a sudden voice from behind him
Kade jumped and sunk his claws into the ceiling
he looked down and adjusted his cat-eyes to see a young man whos entire body was covered in a shroud of moving shadow.
"sorry but i prefer the dark"
Kade jumped down and introduced himself
"call me kade. kade white--"
"Whiteclaw, i know, im usually ethereal when the lights are on so i dont really talk much, it scares people."
the Shadowed figure replied
"Who are you?"Kade asked
" My names Marcus, im a Shadowspectre."
"a what?"
"a ghost consumed by darkness"

Actually....how about we do a storyfriday kinda thing that they do on twitter, just in a forum way. We write one line after the other, in around 150 characters, taking turns and continuing the story as it flows.
