Of course not! That's why I'm an idiot! They should all be sociopathic mass murderers, that makes for a lot better story! So, on with those severed heads, torn out entrails and rivers of blood!

"You don't have to be a pitiless sociopath to work here, but it helps."

You might be surprised to find out how much silliness can happen with the darkest of humor.

I find it helps a lot though, personally.

you know, there is some middle ground between those two points. not that they are necessarily mutually exclusive.

It appears that I have lost it then.

Seriously though, I've had it with rational arguments here. Every time I try it lately, the writer appears and shoots me down.

Aquila,

I learned a while ago to just relax and let the ride take its course. Where/how this ends is something that we don't know yet, and we don't have the ability to jump to the end to find out what happens with Chloe.

I mean, who knows, maybe Sandra and Didi really will end up together in the end of Ma3. . .maybe Chloe will turn out nice again. . .maybe Nina will end up saving the world. . .I am worried that you're stressing out too much about the future of the strip when the here-and-now has some of its own funniness.

yeah dude, you seem to be getting rather worked up about all this. maybe take a few days off to chill out or something, because this forum really isn't worth that much stress.

we're all a bunch of smartasses, dumbasses, & jackasses around here, so you really shouldn't take any of it too seriously.

The Laws of Comicdom suggest Nina is the one that will really take the piss out of Dark Chloe.

What makes you say that?

Not sophisticated, I'm the sweet and simple kind.
I want an old fashioned house, with an old fashioned fence
And an old fashioned millionaire.

Well, I'm pretty stressed lately. And I'm frustrated by the strip, and I'm frustrated because nobody agrees with me and I always end up being the lone voice of whining. Yeah, I guess I should leave.

You don't have to leave. I am worried about you being stressed out, and only that this is adding to your stress. This should be a wonderful, stress fee place. We disagree, but we are worried that you are taking this too seriously and it's bad for you :(

Hey, I've been saying some characters do terrible things for a while. Knocking out teeth, seducing little sister friends, taking advantage of the innocent Fire & Ice pair, etc...

I would say a character doesn't have to be the kind of person you'd want to hang out with to be likable in a fictional setting, or to be funny. Xykon of Order of the Stick and Freeza in DBZ Abridge spring to mind. Pure evil monsters the both of them, wouldn't want to be on the same plane of existence with either, but in their own comedic settings, they are my favorite characters and absolutely hilarious even when they are committing unspeakable atrocities.

Mr Krabs and Squidward in Spongebob. . .heck...Plankton. I remember laughing pretty hard when Plankton went "It's evil. It's diabolical. It's lemon-scented. This Plan Z can't possibly fail! " For that matter, Hedley Lamar and Taggart in Blazing Saddles. Technically, Max and Leo in The Producers are the villains. . .they're out to steal money. What is funny is watching these guys fail to win, which is what we're all doing here with Chloe.

We all really despise her behavior, BUT we are waiting to see how funny it will be when she fails.

Less "despising" and more "acknowledging the moral deficiency" on my side. The whole fictional comedic setting makes it pretty hard for me to get worked up over her bad behavior.

I will agree though, watching the villain fail is very satisfying.
