That's actually on account of Tiff/Layla right now. Despite the Faith/Tiff ship being more explicit on this page, I prefer the more subtle and honest tenderness of friendship between our slayer and vampire.

Faith... I don't know, I guess I won't make many forum friends saying this, but she loses some of her appeal when she's being too friendly/gentle. I prefer her in badass domme mode, even if that does come with a side effect of bitchiness (actually maybe the bitchiness is even a bonus). Her smile right now is a bit too... nice, for my liking at least.

OK-a-a-ay . . . I can deal with Faith being a manipulative, lying, out-for-herself sort, but when and if she's trying to be nice, to be an actual friend . . . that's worrisome! Mind you, the whole picnic-on-the-roof thing . . . what, she's so used to seduction to get her way that she just can't do anything any other way?

Given the number of Ranma things seen here and there, roof-hopping might be simply another, with it being The Mysterious Masked Academy Avenger's prefered style. (And Tiff is dingy enough to forget if she's Tiff or tMMAA at any given moment. )

BTW, it sounds like, based on Tiff's speculation, that this is within 24 hours of the big crossover. Got to wonder if the two comics are still currently closely synced timewise at the moment.

As for me thinking that Faith is a projection, it's the grainy tone given her and the outfit which looks like the one she was wearing when she pulled Mel into her mental world.

In my reading (and remember, I'm only part of the team):

The idea that Faith might actually be sincere is worrisome for Tiff, too. This might be an opportunity, maybe Tiff's only opportunity, to turn Faith away from the moral "gray zones" she's been occupying, and stopping Faith from going the way of Luthor, Magneto or Sasuke. But there are also at least two different ways it could backfire horribly: Faith could essentially enthrall Tiff, or spurning Faith could turn her evil faster. Meanwhile, Tiff's got to measure exactly how much attraction she feels.

And handling delicate emotional matters isn't exactly Tiff's specialty.
