Let me go on record as saying that I don't like the new Chloe. And I'm not talking about her boobs, either.

Well, somehow I got the impression that panel 2 was less about Chloe wanting a break from her massive chest, and more about her spouting a line that other women would fully expect her to say and do given her abundance. I mean, you constantly hear women comment about other women with huge boobs as having back and social issues and being tormented by them. It would only be natural for such comment-makers to assume that a large-breasted woman who was suddenly smaller to say that they did so in order to alleviate problems directly assocciated with having large breasts.

This is the sort of second-hand assumption that can be abused to control people. And you'll note, that's exactly what Chloe does for her opening.

So it's not that Chloe wanted a break, it's about her wanting an easy and logical handle for becoming 'queen bee'. She needed minions, and so came to school appearing to be 'less woman' while at the same time appearing 'more woman' and also making it clear that she could go back anytime she wanted to, while the other girls could not.

Admittedly, a little complicated to be expected from a high-school freshman, but it would fit. And add my vote for not liking New Chloe's behavior.

I'm beginning to think we're never going to see old Chloe again.

We will. When "Bad" Chloe realizes that she's just isn't that bad. That she doesn't enjoy being bad.
She's never been a bad girl, so she's thinking she'll enjoy it right now, but I can't see it lasting. She'll get to a point where she wonders what the hell happened to her, and she'll regress to her emotional mean.

and we did eventually get boy Ace back again.... unfortunately

I happen to LIKE boy Ace.

Boy Ace was (and still is) the whipping boy of the story for Layla and Nina.

Girl Ace was that, squared, AND the target of Kade and Blair.(As well as his own father, ewww!)

Nobody deserves that, especially not the kind hearted Wolfhart boy. Good to see him being a LITTLE better at defending himself at least.

I don't mind boy ace, I just liked the Idea of such a permanent change. While yes changing sexes was an awkward experience, it made ace much easier to throw in and be part of the main casts activites rather than just being a plot device.

I got less 'ewww' from that and more that Ace's dad just wanted to raise a 'sweet little princess'. It's not as common a view as a father wanting someone to call "My Son!" with a big manly voice, but it does happen.

What exactly are chloe's other measurements? Because as is I'm having a difficult time believeing those were E cups I say this as the owner of FF sized cups, they really aren't as comically big as you think they are when they're natural, which Chloe's were. Even if you're thinner, I still get people assuming I'm DD at the most even though I've been measure and whatnot.

I, for one, always wanted Ace to be turned back to a boy, and I'm happy that it happened. This comic doesn't have enough boys - which is why I also want Kade to be turned back.

For her figure I like her new boobs, they fit her figure nicely. For her personality I miss the old Chloe, she was quite attractive.

Wow, you never realize how much you have invested in a character until they are changed at their fundamental core, and then you either come to like them that much more or you come to realize how much you liked them in the first place.

When we had Ace the Girl, it actually brought me around and I found that I really liked Ace, and her fumblings with her identity and determining her sexuality with Brooke was all actually kinda sweet, and for a change I liked Ace, and looked forward to seeing her in the strip. Blam, back to a guy, the curse is off to Kade (and while that did give us more perspective on the curse), Ace's adventures are relegated to 'purchase only' land and pretty much out of the strip again. Sigh.

Now we have Chloe, who I liked from the start, and suddenly she has the Doom Panties... which completely reverses her character. Whereas becoming a girl made Ace's insecurities and neurotic tendencies endearing, Chloe gains control of her abilities and is suddenly no longer a nice, likeable and sweet girl. Instead she is replaced with a cold, heartless %$#@& who imprisons her own mother- until she needs a shoulder to cry on, then when she's had her fix she does it again!- as she coldly manipulates everyone around her.

At this rate the character is pretty much ruined for me... even if she returns to who she was, what she did to her mother is unforgivable- I can't see her ever trusting her own child again after that. Entrapping her once was cruel, but pulling her out to cry, get some perspective then doing it again was downright psychopathic. She shattered Layla's trust- sure, Layla outsmarted her, but she'd be a fool to ever trust Chloe again. And as readers, we can't blame it on the plot device- all it did was give her full access to her powers as a succubus. Not turn her evil, not possess her, not twist her mind- all they did was give her access to the full range of powers of an adult succubus. Which she then used to become a heartless, manipulative and evil. The panties didn't do that- not according to the explanation we were given. These have all been Chloe's choices- a Chloe with more power and control than she knew before.

I'm sad to see one of the characters that I knew and loved from this strip corrupted so, and damaged beyond repair. I'm sure in the long run things will settle back to some semblance of normalcy, and the characters may even turn a blind eye to what she's done and blame it on the artifact. But as a reader I'll know that beneath the sweet and endearing facade of Chloe actually lurks the dark heart of a predatorial creature who will one day return, and that creature has no remorse, no conscience and no qualms about doing whatever it wants to get what it desires.

And when I look at Chloe that's what I'll see... and mourn the loss of the character she was once upon a time. A likeable character who was relatable to her audience... instead of someone you might know who you never liked anyway.

Just my 2 cents, and I wanted to get it off my chest.

Meh. My opinion on evilChloe: either she needs to be changed back (perhaps a bit older and wiser, but still fundamentally the sweet Chloe we've known), or just killed off completely. Either one will remove this unlikeable creature from the story, which is the most important issue right now.
