Another plot possibility just came to mind: "You found their school, little pumkin? Good, we'll get you in there as a spy right away. Now pretend to be a monster..."

Of course, given might recent track record coming up with ideas of how the plot was going to to... L-) 8-} :-s :))

Well, huh. I kinda almost got it in the thread for the previous comic:

"Or...her sword can't actually hurt humans! Magic sword, dang, that actually makes a lot of sense. Except for the whole ghost thing, uhh, it's a "Sword of Temporary Specterness"? "

And presumably Layla chomping her on the neck somehow brought her spirit back to the body. Normally, I suppose, you'd have another person around to pull out the sword and bring you back.

One wonders about non-damaging swords. We have this one, and there's that sword InuYasha's brother has that heals, and.umm, probably a bunch in stuff I've not seen. :)

Wow...that...actually sunk in pretty fast. I'm amazed.
I swear I will, I'll make you smile.

Original fiction by Neko: Heroes of Angel City (now in convenient (and edited) ebook form!). Kuchisake.

Don'tcha just hate it when you misplace your magic novelty swords? I know I do.

I think the real question here is whether her father had to stab himself with all the other swords to make sure they weren't the astral projection sword... from what we've seen of it, it's pretty nondescript for a magical novelty sword.

Hopefully Social Services doesn't get ahold of this one. So... you left your Astral Sword around where your minor could get at it?
In a dream it was also that he came by his name of Kuranes, for when awake he was called by another name.

Okay... since the sword leaves the body intact, then that means that stuff Tiff licked off the end* of the sword actually were strawberry jelly/jam/preserve/something, but how did it get there? Who's storing preserves in the janitor's closet? :-s

* Man, that's sounds dirty.

Wow! :-o I just love the twists in the Tiffany plotline so far. I just hope that little miss Slayer will keep on trying to "infiltrate" Charybdis Heights, with hilarious consequences. ;;)
If I tend to lurk, it might be because I'm a U-Boat fanboy *turns on the passive sonar and equips the Ruhmenkorff device*

Hopefully naked ghost girl will make a return perfomance, now that we know it's an ability of the sword she was using.

It would only be a deus ex machina if it hadn't been introduced at all before. Magic is super common in this comic, as is the supernatural - it would be silly to say that an astral projection sword was contrived just because Giz and Dave let us have our moments of wild speculation before the reveal.

Besides, the reveal is the punch-line, it'd be stupid to have told us about it first.

I know it was mentioned before, but Mama Winters is a cutie. And I don't have to feel guilty oogling her... :-bd

"Astral Projection Sword! Guaranteed to work 100% of the time."

"Warning: Side Effect: Vampire bites may rejoin the spirit to the body prematurely despite the sword not having been removed. Also, damages clothing like any normal sword."
