Twisty! I didn't see that one coming at all. So if Blair is around to keep the evil vampire queen that eerily resembles Nina from returning, who put him in that role and when?
This opens up a whole new world of possible backstory for Blair, and makes the character more interesting and less one-note. All good stuff, IMO.

I will go out on a limb and suggest that is the reincarnation of The Queen and Bkair is the Shut off valve in case Nina learns her true powers.

Blair just got a lot more interesting with this update. I still loathe him intensely, but now I find him interesting.

Awwww, Blair really does like her. And is a guardian? Didn't see that coming, but should have. This is a trigger for book 5 where the Vampire Queen comes out. Blair and Tiffany will come in to save the day.

If Nina is the reborn Queen it would make sense he was inserted into the Delacroix household in order to kill her while she was young and vulnerable.
