He's a parent, of course he has room to judge who is allowed and who isn't allowed to see his child. That's part of being a parent. Even being a deadbeat one like him.
Why is everyone so quick to assume he's a deadbeat? Yet, no one referring to their mom the same way, and we haven't seen her period. :-\

We don't know what sort of arrangement Lance has with his kids, or why he hasn't been around 'til now. I had a friend in highschool who only saw his father a few times during the year, because his dad was a trucker and he rarely took time off. But his family was well taken care off.

It's even more common in fiction, especially anime and manga, 'cuz it's often used to explain why the protagonist's parents are never seen. The most common one being, that their parents either travel abroad, or work overseas most of the time. But their kids are almost always given regular allotments to cover their food and living expenses.

So I'm willing to give Lance the benefit of a doubt, for now.
The mother straight out left them. The father has custody. That's why he's the deadbeat. The mom's worse.

Teddy's dad is a race car driver, but we know we haven't seen any adults with the very young girl and the 14 (15?) year old boy.

Good on Teddy for calling Lance out. Because after that last panel, he really has no room to judge.

Problem is the place they'd end up having this threesome would be at home - you know, where Abby live; thus, exposing her to more sexual escapades (moreso than he already has, anyway - what with having Abby watch as he swallows Pandora's tonsils every morning at the breakfast table and probably every meal thereafter).

So, no - Lance has zero place to judge.
That, we don't actually know. Could easily get a motel room.

People seem to be laying a lot of blame on Lance, when we already know for a fact that people under the influence of succubus pheromones act pretty out of character when directed by the source, and especially when it comes to all things "sexy".
This too.

So we're clear: I'm not exonerating Lance of all wrongdoing simply because, but it's like people have forgotten he got mind whammied by Pandora when he first met her, and he's been her thrall ever since. If she wants him to do something, all she'd need to do is turn on the charm.

It worked for Teddy and he isn't even a true succubus. Pandora is. So we have to ask ourselves, how much of what we're seeing is really Lance's own behavior/of his own volition, and how much is due to Pandora's control over him?

I think we're using different definitions of "deadbeat". :-\

A deadbeat is generally a guy who doesn't support his kids. From what we saw, Teddy and Abby didn't appear to be struggling financially and neither was working at the time. So they had to be getting money from somewhere and, since "mom" up and left, that leaves Lance as the most likely candidate.

Even if he hasn't been around that often, it could easily be attributed to his career, rather than him abandoning his kids. He has to provide for them, just like my friend's dad was gone for most of the year and he was definitely no one's deadbeat. He took care of his family.

Doing the bare minimum doesn't excuse Lance for being a deadbeat. He's never around, to the point Abbey once said Teddy is all she has.

Teddy is practically the only real parental figure she has, because he clearly couldn't be assed to get a sitter or a family to look after them.

Except they haven't so far, not have they been particularly discreet.

Though as far as the mom goes, we don't know about the terms of the divorce. If he got full custody, there not much she can do. Then again, since he was the one that cheated on her, you'd think it would have been easier for her to gain full custody, so either Lance had a better lawyer or their Mom didn't try.

It hasn't been clarified how old Teddi is yet as far as I know, but that they needed a fake ID suggests they are under what the law in the area would allow for what they are doing.
Wait, was it because of his age or because he needed a none Teddy identity now that he can't live at his house?

issues (not vast, but enough to be disconcerting) seems little in comparison to Teddi basically being Kilgrave.

Bit of a leap to Killgrave/Purple Man. On the scale of Marvel Heroes and villains with pheromones, Teddy is closer to Star Fox/Eros, since he's not aware it's his pheromones affecting people.

Threeway is totally different than mom and dad in their bedroom. No, the kids don't want to hear it (no one wants to hear it), but still, three way versus mom (which btw I'm calling Pandora mom since she's the step mom right now :p) and dad are totally different.

It's his age. Teddy is still in high school and doesn't appear to be a senior.

I was thinking more of "never there, not raising the kids". Yes, he needs to make a living, but he's also a race car driver. I would feel he could be home more often.

I don't follow professional racing (or sports, in general), so I'm only guessing, but it probably depends on which circuit(s) he's with and how often he has to race. :-??

He could have at least arranged for a live-in caregiver.

Hopefully he changes back soon or he'll never be able to go home!
(Seriously, this story line has been going on for a year and a half now. Time to move on, if only to not have to look at fugly Teddy any more. Even putting him in the wrestling school would be an improvement.)

I'd personally like the story to return to being about Chloe.

I think many of us would.
Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

I have said, this arc is dragging on too long. I've stopped following for now.

Somone come get me when they're finally off Namek
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.
