Damn! I just realized the meaning of "Kitty" myself just a few minutes ago! A possible French translation is "Chatte" which literally means "female kitty", but which can also mean...
"Pussy."
Giz, was this intentional? Or an accident?

It was established a while ago(about 5th strip in intro chapter) that although Blair's body is that of a female doll the spirit in it is male.

I believe that t has been consistently referred to as 'he'. Also, the cast page:
Blair

Nina's doll, who's possessed by a male soul.
The real question is why it seems to have no objection to the feminine attire selected by it's owner.

And he was ablr to make it from Nina's room and into Layla's delicates drawer. So either he is a full automaton or he is able to exert some psychic control over Nina.
